Church, try a new hobby, take night classes at the college (learn to cook, new language, art, etc.) local clubs (look at flyers), speed dating, bookstore. Hang out at the park. Biking, rollerblading. Take ur dog out for a game of fetch. Good luck!

At a car wash, grocery store, church, at a city park walking your dog or just feeding the ducks. Any of these places are prime spots to start up a conversation but just don't come on too strong. Maybe give her YOUR cell number and ask her if she'd like to go out to eat or to a movie and give her that option of calling you first. A smile always lets a woman know maybe your looking for a connection and if shes NOT she will let you know and YOU will know if you feel a connection or not. Just don't be shy. . .But don't come on toooo strong. Be yourself.

There's always online dating, like match.com, yahoo singles, eharmony, etc.
Your community might also offer "speed dating", where they basically get a huge group of guys and girls, and you rotate around, seeing each other guy or girl for about five minutes. You get a "score card" and if two people rate each other highly, the event organizer puts the two of you in contact.
Also, try joining clubs or organizations in your community. Take up volunteering. Join a book club. Take "fun" classes at your local community college. Sign up for intramural sports, like softball or volleyball.

other then the internet try joining a club or group in your area, such as a volunteer or walking group. book stores are also good places because you can make conversation about a book.
