It is a pretty song, and you should walk to whatever song you choose. However, I would have a different song for the bridesmaids vs. the bride. This way, it is a little more dramatic when you enter :)
FYI - I'm getting married in the church from that movie!

I think it would be nice. What I would do is find something that goes with that song - same kind of tempo, feeling, etc., and have your bridal party walk in to that, then use Only Hope as your song so there's a distinction when you walk in.
What about Norah Jones' Come Away With Me?
Incidentally, The Wedding March (Wagner's Bridal Chorus) is rarely played at Jewish weddings, as Wagner was a known anti-Semite. It is also not used by the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod because of various factors, but most especially due to the perceived pagan connotations of Wagner's plays. The Catholic Church generally does not allow the Bridal Chorus at Catholic weddings due to the fact that it is a secular piece of music. Its usual placement at the beginning of a wedding ceremony is not entirely in accordance with its placement in the opera. In the opera, the chorus is sung after the ceremony by the women of the wedding party, as they accompany the heroine Elsa to the bridal chamber. In addition, the marriage between Elsa and Lohengrin is an almost immediate failure.

I know the words are nice, but I think the song sounds sad... but it's your wedding.
Usually the bridal party walks down to one song and the music changes for the bride. It also akes it a bit more obvious for everyone to stand when the bride enters the room.

I'm leaning towards using Chasing Cars by Snow Patrol. Definitely nonp-traditional. Something that may help you find a non-traditional song to use is to make a list of some of your favorite songs... preferably ones that having meaning to both of you or make you think of him.. then go to youtube and search for videos of people playing acoustic or piano versions... so you can get an idea of how it would sound if someone is playing it live at the ceremony. (that's assuming you would want to use a version without the words or aren't going to be playing it over a sound system.)

I would have the bridal party walk to that song and walk down the isle to the wedding march. That is a beautiful song though

I think that you should walk to the song that you feel like walking too, and about your bridal party, they are YOUR guests so they pretty much do whatevever you tell them to do, but if they really don't agree with the song, then they can walk to the traditional song.

I think you should have the bridal party walk to something else, and save the song for your walk. I think it makes it more special.

The choice of song is up to you, as is how you choose to walk (party, or just you). I'm most used to the bride being the one with music to walk with, but there's nothing to say that you can't use it for the whole procession.

find your favorite part and walk down the isle to it, OR have it playing while the bridal party is walking also, try it both ways during dress rehearsal. See which one you like.
