yup, they'll issue a bench warrant.
You could hire a lawyer, spend hundres of dollars fighting the ticket, but that's a lot of cash.
Pay the ticket and stop speeding, that's your best bet.
BTW - your insurance is going to skyrocket now.
Smart thinking, huh?

You certainly will. A bench warrant will be issued. They may not come for you right away, but you'll be going to jail the next time the county Sheriff's Office conducts a warrant sweep or get pulled over for having a brake-light go out.

If you are having trouble coming up with the cash, there are some locals that offer you the opportunity to pay in installments. Check it out. Don't get arrested.

IF you don't pay it, and then don't show up for court, you will be charged with failure to appear and they will issue a warrant for your arrest.

If it is a simple speediing ticket and you have a free afternoon, call the court and get a continueance on the court date, then appear and plead not guilty, the officer normally is not notified of the new court date and will not be there. or may not bother comming in for one ticket.

Yep, they will issue a bench warrant which means next time you get stopped you get a free ride. Pay the ticket. It's much cheaper on the front end.

You have a certain time frame to pay this on the spot fine it is the cheapest way to handle it . If you dont pay in time it goes to court and you pay much more as court costs and that means police cost as well>

The price of the ticket can go up, they can issue a warrant, and suspend your license. Not worth it in the long run.

Yes, if you get caught. Why don't you just pay it to avoid any unnecessary stress? If you go to a judge you can even set up payment plans.

Not until you get stopped again and the routine warrant check returns your name - then, you will probably stay in jail until all outstanding fines are paid.
