It depends what you want for the wedding...
church...approx $1500 to $5000
Wedding Gowns $700 to $5000
Wedding Rings $500 to $10000
Wedding dresses for maid of honor and groom side Rental $1000 to $3000
Reception: Average $65 to $100 per person depending on the Halls with Beverage and Alcohol inclusive
Floral Arrangements $300 to $2500
Limo Rental $250 to $750
Photographer $750 to $2000
Videographer $1500 to $3000
Cake $250 to $1000
But if you do it just in the court then just the court cost....

Our wedding is next month. We are having the reception at a modestly-priced place that is beautiful on the inside. The package includes the meal, service, open bar, DJ's, wedding invitations, and cake. All included, that's costing us about $80 per guest. We both have large families, and this wedding is costing between $10,000 and $15,000 (we're figuring about 150 guests). Other costs include her dress, the limo, church and pastor fees, gifts, and flowers.
We're both of the mindset, a month before the wedding, that we should have just eloped, and spent the money on our home instead. I'm sure it will be a beautiful day, but it is expensive.
Our only restraints were that we had a lot of people to invite, and she (the bride) refused to have the reception in a fire hall. The price we found is actually cheap for this area (Philadelphia) - we looked at reception locations that were 2-3 times the cost.
The best way to save money, but still have a beautiful wedding, is to keep it small. Don't skimp on the bride's dress - she'll regret it forever if she looks back and hates it.
Ways to save money:
Use a DJ instead of a live band (unless you have access to a good cover band at an affordable rate).
Use fake flowers instead of real ones. None of your guests will be close enough to tell the difference, and they'll cost about 70% less.
Try to find a reception hall that can give you an all-inclusive package, like the one I mentioned above. It saves money, and (TRUST ME) it makes the wedding planning much easier (less stress for you!).
Get your limo from a funeral home, instead of a limo company that specializes in weddings. I know this might sound a little creepy, but you can save a lot of money, and the car is exactly the same. Not a hearse, mind you. Just a limo.
Best of luck on your wedding day!

You can have an amazing wedding for very cheaply! Find cheap/free places to hold the reception and ceremony. (A friend's yard/house, etc.) Make your own wedding invites (you can buy kits at Michael's and other cheap art stores, or maybe even Wal-Mart) and guest gifts. Do a stand-up reception with bite-sized appetizers and no alcohol instead of a full meal. Invite family only or very close friends - keep the guest list to less than 75 people. Buy your wedding dress at a consignment store - it's only been worn once and you can find some really great dresses!
There are lots of great ideas out there to keep the wedding to a minimal cost! Good luck and congratulations!!

It really depends on where you live. If you live in any of the major cities (LA, NYC, SF, Chicago) the average wedding will be over $30k and that is even with doing some things DIY and using cheaper vendors. My wedding cost that much and I got flowers from Costco, got my dress off Ebay, printed out my own invites. Nothing at my wedding was extravagant but food alone at any hotel or hall is $100-150/pp in California. My sister in law got married in PA in a church and hall and was able to get her entire wedding done for $15k, and she had a more expensive dress, had nice invites, etc. So it is all relative to location.

My wedding was last month and the total spent was right around $3000. There are several things that I could have done to make it cost less had I known in the beginning what I know now about planning a wedding. Primarily, if something doesn't seem quite right to you, don't buy it. Stay within your budget, but don't buy anything that doesn't seem perfect. You have plenty of time to plan a beautiful wedding.

You won't believe how wide open that question is until you start looking around for yourself. Your area will have alot to do with the cost--also, the number of guests, the gown you choose, your flowers, etc will all play a major role in your cost. I'd say, in general, you can put on a simple no frills wedding for under $10,000, if you're careful about keeping the costs down. Of course, it is easy to get caught up in the whole thing, and you can end up spending thousands on flowers alone!

I am also planning my wedding in to 2008, after adding everything up the food, the preparations, where the wedding is going to be held, the reception, and the wedding pictures are total around 3,500 dollars. that's a good price rage because we did not wnat to go over 5,000. You can lower the cost if you already have someone to make the food and invitations.

You have to consider all the things you want/need:
Church/Wedding Hall
Person who will be marrying you
Reception Hall
Food
Entertainment
Flowers
Alcohol (if you decide to have it)
Cake
Dress
Tux
Number of guests (cost per plate)
It does add up really quick. When my hubby and I got married, we had our ceremony on a Friday evening and followed it with a dessert reception, and it worked out really nice. You might want to consider that if you're looking to cut costs...
I think if you're careful, but still have a nice wedding, the total cost will run you between $5k-10k. That's being pretty modest. If you want to go over the top, it's going to cost a whole lot more.

Hello
I got married on 01/07/06 it was the best day of my life, I had everything i have always ever wanted. We saved up for 2 years but altogether it came to £20,000 not including the church as my mum paid for that or my dress as my dad paid for that. You can do it for alot cheaper than this but i just thought id tell you how much it cost us.
All i can say is you can never save up too much money every penny counts
Have a great wedding

WOW I think my wedding will come up to about 4,000 including my dress. I did not buy my bridesmaid dresses for them I bought them a gift (you do not HAVE to buy their gifts) We have 13 in our wedding party I made my own favors. Made my flower girl basket and ring bearer box (he didn't want a pillow). Shop around. My take on making invitations was by the time I bought the invites and the computer ink and everything it was just as cheap to order from our family owned print shop where I live...SHOP AROUND is all I can say and do things on your own. My church costed $100 the hall for reception was $400. You can do it be budget concious.
