that depends. if you use your same artist and it is done within a certain amount of time it may be free (my artist gives free touchups) but if you are having it done by a different artist or done a few years later it may cost the same or more but it would just depend on how the artist charges.

It depends on the size and how much touching up needs to be done. i have a lizard on my neck that starts at my hair line down the between my shoulders (probably a good 6 inches long..)The color is fading (stupid sun) and I was quoted around 200-300 $$ to get the color back and get the lines re-done. If it is smaller, it will cost less...but for someone to re-do NE thing they usually charge double....
All in all....It ain't cheap.

if it has been a while since you first got it, the artist might want to re-do the outlines as well, almost covering it up completely, but using the same design. that would cost you about the same as if you went in for a new one.

touch ups are usually free from the same artist you got it from - for life.

Probably so, because you are having the tattoo redone and it takes just as much time and ink to redo as it does to do the original. It might be slightly less, but not much less.

my first tat i got touched up 2 months after by the same person for free. (gotta love my kid sliding down my arm and pulling scab off lol). my 2nd one (that i got when the first was touched up) i had touched up someplace else by someone else and it was a lot cheaper. only had to get one of the colors touched up though. i can't see paying more to get a touch up than you did to get it done though.
