Have fun at the Monster and quit worrying about those other peoples opinions, these are your children and its your family. NASCAR is a family EVENT. I would much rather expose my children to a few idiots that use alcohol (legal by the way) than to other sports such as MLB, NFL, and NBA where players are using (ILLEGAL) drugs, steroids, and getting their faces in the news everyday for beating their wives, carrying ILLEGAL weapons, and so many other felonious acts. Have you ever been to an NFL game and seen the Tailgating parties? Ever been to a MLB and seen the people getting so drunk that they fall out of their seats? You are right bringing your children with you and sharing those quality experiences with them. They will learn a lot and grow up knowing that they had parents that wanted to share quality time with them. Have fun and enjoy life. See you all at the MONSTER!!!

Personally, I have been attending Nascar races for the last 7 years and there is a time and a place for children......any child under the age of 13 should be taken to the events that lead up to the two big races of the weekend...but with the expense of the tickets, etc at an event like Nascar...how much do the children really enjoy...??? Leave the kids at home and come to the two big races with adult friends/family..........

Of course its ok. How else do they expect kids to become interested any anything if you cant take them anywhere? You should be able to take them to any sport or museum and let them decide what they like.

I wouldnt bring a small child (less than 5 maybe?) just because they will have a hard time sitting anywhere for an afternoon without getting bored.

My dad took me to races from when I was about 3. I dont remember but there are plenty of pics and I looked like I was having fun. I remember going to Indy 500 qualifying every year until they split even though it was 5 hours away. Im 27 and I still go to some type of race every year. ive been to Indycars, NASCAR, drag racing, formula ford, going to F1.

Although the cars are very loud, and some fans can be unruly, I certainly think it is ok. I have an 8yr old son who has been going to races,(not just nascar dirt tracks also and some modifieds) and I have the BEST time, my son loves racing and loves spending time with me and I LOVE the time I get to spend with him. So no insult your family but I think that nascar is turning into a family sport and see nothing wrong at all with taking your kids. I do reccomend the ear protection it is a MUST.

I also go to Dover in June, and I see alot of younger kids. I don't think it's a problem. It's not like the entire crowed drinks, yea you see the drunks walking around but who cares they're there to have fun. The only problem I have with little kids is if they are to little that they still need strollers and the parents are using the strollers in crowded areas and running up on peoples ankels, I hate that. If the kids are too little like 5-6, why take them, they wont remeber it anyways.

I run a family campground that is located in Watkins Glen and we are at maximum capacity every year. I think it would be hectic for people to actually stay at the track because you are on everyone else's schedule but there are lots of kids that are avid race fans.We look forward to the Nascar Crew- our "temporary residents". Sometimes when the kids are old enough, they can collect cans and make some cash cause in NY there is a nickel deposit on soda and beer cans.

surely that is continually ok for a family contributors to undertake little ones of a diverse race. after all, the coloration of someone's' pores and skin will be diverse on the exterior, yet below it continues to be flesh, muscle, nerves, bones, emotions, etc. And very last I remembered blood continues to be pink for honestly everyone. And very last I remembered there is truly purely a million race, THE HUMAN RACE. what's very major is that the mum and father love the newborn. what's there to reveal a black newborn with white mom and father, they're his/her mom and father. It shouldn't count number what coloration they're. All that would want to count number is that the mum and father pick a baby, they look after the newborn, and they improve the newborn to be a acceptable man or woman. so a recommendations as i'm in contact a baby's real mom and father is/are the guy/those that raised the newborn, no longer the guy/those who gave delivery to the newborn. Now the mum and father might want to verify that you do let the newborn recognize that they are followed (in the journey that they hadn't already figured that out yet), yet that they were a particular newborn to the mum and father, because the mum and father "chosen" that distinct newborn.

IF you are having a family day at the races, that means that there is adult supervision right? As long as oyu are doing your job, and the kids are having fun, what's wrong with that? What someone else does should not effect how you plan to have fun with your family. Tell the grief givers to mind their own business...

Taking kids to a nascar race in this day and age is like handing them a match and telling them to lite a fuse. With all the drunks that nascar draws. I wouldn't even think about taking my kids. At the last race I was at, two drunkin women dropped thier tops and lets thier sloppy t**s hang out when Gordon won. Then, one of them threw up on 5 or 6 fans in the front seats. Yeah, good for the kids to see. What a sight.

I have been going to NASCAR events since I was 6 I am 54 years old now.I took both of my children to races sincethey were about 5.
There is nothing wrong with taking them. You just have to explain to them the fans that over do the adult nourishments.
Take them, let them enjoy the races.
