Do you like Asian or Italian food, Mexican or takeout maybe? Do you cook from scratch, or are you a sauce from a jar cook?

I fear no food.... and prefer to make all from scratch. I am fortunate to live close to a wonderful open air fruit & vegatable and fish market. So what ever strikes my fancy when I see what's in season or what the fresh catch of the day is is what will get cooked.
Sometimes I use a packaged, natural vegatable stock. I would also buy chicken stock if i could only find it where I live (but I can't).
I may buy a take out pizza or a gyro sometimes.... though we like making our own pizzas. Asian specialities are not my speciality and so I may order that to takeaway.

If I had to choose the one type of food I cook the most, it would be Italian - I tend to lean towards a Mediterranean style of cooking. I am one of those people that very, very rarely buys anything prepared, such as jarred or bottled sauces and such. And I never buy the boxed or frozen meals...ugh...I don't know how people eat hamburger helper!
I grow a lot of my own herbs, and use them fresh whenever I can. I also dry them for the winter!

Depends on what I am making, I sometimes use a jarred sauce to start something, but finish with fresh ingredients.
Most of the time everything is homemade, and I really only use recipes when baking.

I mostly rely on good old fashioned home cooking, mostly, when I'm stuck on what to make for dinner. I have an extensive cookbook collection (or as my husband says and unhealthy addiction) and try to use them to cook my favorites from all cuisines, when I have time to work with more complicated recipes or ingredients. I just like to have fun, I guess. (I have traditional ragu in the cupboard, too)

I cook from scratch 99% of the time and I prefer making southern "comfort" food.

My cooking style is healthy! :-)
I love fixing Mexican food and I fix most everything from scratch. I try to consume as little processed food as possible.

I usually stick to kangaroo pie although over consumption CAN lead to chubby half smiles & a subtle dulling of ones intellect.

Like all types... My consists of scratch , jar take out... Especially seafood ,,,, I see food I eat it... >LOL
