I bought this magazine that had this "lottery" ticket inside, it says that if it had 3 figures that matched (which happended) I was entitled to one of many prices, but I also had to send an sms that costs about 12 pounds, so my question is, is it worth trying? do you have any experience with this? To me winning something without purchasing the ticket seems a little strange.

Hi!Since i had a previous experience in the past i would like to advise you not to send the sms. I know that it is not worth it. If you send it you will be asked to call a certain number that costs a lot per minute. If you don't believe me try and you will see what i mean. However know that the sms itself may cost more than you can afford. Don't give any credit card number or a bank account. Time will come for you to win money with a less tricky way. I hope I have helped.

Yeah it's a con. You send them something worth £12, they send you a 'prize' that is probably worth far less. Everyone's a winner! Well, except you.

I bet that if you purchase another magazine just like it, the lottery ticket in that one is a 'winner' too. It's a common scam.

The catch is that although you are guaranteed a prize, it is usually vouchers (that are almost impossible to redeem and are usually for a holiday) or some type of cheap digital camera with a street value of about £3 or £4.
If you check the fine print on the back, it has to list all of the available prizes and you can guarantee that what you win will be the last on that list - I'll put money on it being holiday vouchers or a digital camera!
Bin it and don't waste your money :)

If you get a prize it won't be worth £12. All the tickets are 'winning' tickets except a very few. The company intends to make money from you, bin it.

Usually this is a scam to get you to spend money. Just like those things on the internet where you have to send money to claim your million pounds.
