In the interest of being fair, I had to use this as a follow-up to my "Why hate the Christians?" question.

Jesus M---I'm an R+S regular, I've sat on this board for a year. This is a dummy account-there's no need for anyone here to know who I really am.

After being in this forum for so long, I've seen a lot of hatred from both sides. Everyone claims to have been wronged by the opposite side, yet very few people actually have been.

I'm amazed that so few Christians have answered this question. Ten minutes in and only one answer.

Real Bad Attitude...I'd give you a thumbs up if I could.

To Debbie right below him...you are one of the more 'unenlightened' Christians that I have met.

I'm a believer and I've said some really nasty things against atheists in here, but the truth is that I really don't hate them. In fact, and I am being brutally honest, I find them to be rather remarkable people. I don't think I really have it in me to hate anyone. I think the reason why alot of people do hate them is because they certainly do have alot more fun than most folks do, and many of them are pleasantly intelligent and rational people. The thing I find curious though is that the higher educated ones never seem to denigrate the believers for their beliefs. It's like their probing, looking for data, constantly forming hypotheses. The lower level atheists are down right stupid as are the lower level believers. The atheists of the higher caliber type(and they know who they are) are actually the only atheists I care to communicate with. I'm never disappointed with them. Oh, and-I have never been harmed by any atheist. Just the exact opposite. Years ago when I sustained a life threatening injury, while everyone else was running around with their heads up their butts, the guy next door performed all the first aid measures that stabilized me until the paramedics got there to take me to the hospital. The gentleman was an atheist by choice, and a computer programmer/analyst by trade. Wow, now there's one dangerous person the thought police should know about, eh??Ha, ha.

The only thing that I can say is that I am a christian and believe in a God of love. My belief is not to hate the sinner but hate the sin. I have worked with a man that is an atheist. I did not see anything wrong with the way he treated anyone except talking about my God. Yes being of human body I was angry at first, but then I realized anger was no way to take on this. He is entitled to his belief and I am entitled to mine. So believing in a God that is very much alive I did what every true christian would do and that is to put it in Gods hands"pray for him". I know that one day he will confess that God is God here on earth or in his presence. I am sorry that Christians are sending you such a bad message from the christian religion, but if you are getting hate from them please don't classify them as Christians, because God is a God of love! My daily prayer is for people to open their eyes and realize God is real! Because I do love everyone! I want to see as many unbelievers come to know Jesus Christ as possible, and I do not think that hate is the way to show that. Hope this was help to you. Even though many don't believe I as a soldier of God should say God Bless everyone of them and have a beautiful day. God loves you and so do the "real christians that are out their" We just hate the sin because it is of Satan.

Sorry you can't ask questions such as this. The atheists take great offense by this type of thing.

Oh, it is OK for them to do it all the time and that, of course, is different. You see intolerance is a one way street to them. Only Christians can be intolerant. And if we are against homosexuality, then, of course, that means we are homophobes and we hate homosexuals. If we want prayer in schools, then we are like Nazis. Etc.

But, above all else, we are stupid, uneducated, retarded, idiots, etc. But still, even though, those things are said, I don't hate the atheists, I pity them, really. Having to come on this site to try and prove that they are smart, which only shows how much they have been "dumbed down."

i do not hate absolutely everyone nor do I favor unwell on absolutely everyone. I an my kinfolk have all come to damage on the hand of diverse Christians as has my tribe for most lifetimes beforehand my personal. yet i won't be able to bypass into description as i won't be able to instigate hatred upon those who did not something. through generalizing this to Christians it really is what it would want to do. So i will only state the I really have regular many who've led to damage to human beings that deserved not something.

I don't hate anyone... All sinners have a future, all saints have a past. I wasn't always Christian, and therefore I understand that we are all trying to do our best to live in this world. It is very sad to me to see the anger on both sides, at this forum... when we are to 'be joyful always'

Personally, I wonder, if you don't want to have anything to do with God or religion then why are you here?
My deduction is, you want to turn the gentle, immature Christians away from God. They come here to learn and be up built and for comraddery. You dash their hopes to the ground. You make them doubt God's existence. You ruin lives. And for that I am upset with you. I personally feel if most people don't have God in their lives there would be no form of peace and those trying to obey laws. Christians obey and follow rules to please God. What is there to stop an atheist?
If you deny God now, who will you turn to at the end of your life? You will have to answer to Him for every one you misled.

As a Christian I don't hate atheists, and I respect their freedom of choice. BUT when you ask me about God, look out.
