I have heard the recommendation has gone up from 10 to 15 years

There you go good question. The folded up bag could fail to deploy properly after 10 years many cars. 15 year old bags go off with to much force anyway. Dash boards get old and cracked people drive with passengers who put feet on the dash? Cars have become so complex and new cars have up to 10 air bags.

Never, You will never need your air bags replaced except If you have a accident and the bags go off, Then the sensor have to be replaced, Insurance company's do not like to buy air bags, good luck
