I visited there twice with my Aircraft Carrier. We had a great time and the people were great (contrary to popular belief). Ex Mayor Giuliani did a great job cleaning it up. They have every kind of restaurant imaginable and the night life is second to none. There is always something to do and you can pretty much get anywhere you need to go with the subway.

Arrived at LaGuardia Thanksgiving Eve = everyone wonderful including the cab driver who must have been 'run off his feet' . Sad thing - never, ever let an online person offer you a room. I was given a storage space. I did have a card so i could get a hotel room and enjoy some of the sights:)
Empire State is great! Visiten Ground Zero - WTC - had family who should have been there - yeah - NZers in NYC! They are safe. Loved 5th Ave, 6th, and a harbour cruise ... really wanted to get up close and personal to Lady Liberty! Maybe next time. Lincon Center was cool. A Norweigan movie about submarines? But that was 2005 in NYC - used the subway, buses. No one talked unless you were ordering a haircut, a ruben ..... but then ... know where my heart and soul belong.

I live in NYC, born and raised. I work in Brooklyn, right off the Brooklyn Bridge with a spectacular view of river (my office is on the top floor) and I always find something new in the city. Yeah, some people are rude and this city is a fast paced city, but I wouldn't leave this city.
I LOVE NEW YORK!!!!!!

I visited N.Y on Christmas. I think it's an interesting place, very noisy , with great museums & shops and with people from all over the world. it's a place where you can find anything you want at any time. it's worth to visit this place for one time in your life.

Been there a couple of times. Too big, too noisy, people were really rude--but the least time I was there, it did smell a little better. And I do like Central Park.
