Why do [some] christians sometimes seem like whiny, spoiled children?

Here is a condensed version of stuff I see posted here on a regular basis:

"the other kids are picking on/persecuting/bashing me!"
"I will live forever in the afterlife and you will rot in hell!"
"I am better than you because of my god-given morals"
"I am right! YES I AM! I'M NOT LISTENING!"
"you are either for us or against us"

does anybody else get a rather childish vibe from all this?

I, (a Christian) find some of the questions on Y! Answers regarding Christianity just a bit opprssive sometimes, (no, this one isn't) and the reason is, the way I see it, is that some of us are better at being good representatives of God than others- I can see exactly where you're coming from. In broad, we aren't supposed to show-boat our views. We are supposed to try to act as righteouslly as we can, help guide those to the path of righteouness, and certainly not inflect any of those kind of statements, though I am fully aware that an amount of us do- it's very wrong- it annoys me too.

Christians, you appaulogize for the inquisition blood bath of burning flesh and inhuman torture of innocent people, the destruction of medicine ways of Europes early people, stealing other peoples religious icons, the residential schools and others where some of you beat and raped the children and stole them from their families in your attempt to distroy their cultures and your continual attempts to oppress women! Keep in mind that maturity is a process that takes years and years to cultivate - even in non-Christians.

If you can look past the immaturity and investigate the message of the Gospel (focus on the message, not the immaturity) you'll be making some real headway.

Because some of them are whiney spoiled children.
Fleshly, and immature Christians is what Paul described, and also Jesus (in Revelation).
It is true there is plenty of bashing going on, much more here than I experience in the real world. But I don't complain about it. There are (some) people who shun Christ and God to the degree they make it their mission to denigrate, make fun of, bash whatever you want to call it, we who follow Christ.

Christians aren't perfect and we are all at different places in our walk with the Lord Jesus. Some of us are more mature than others, just like most other people.

i'm happy to hearken to ;your question because of fact it is so authentic, i'm unhappy that there are an excellent variety of people available who have not got self assurance in God in basic terms because of actuality that he could deliver them to Hell. My answer to you is that the Bible memories are oftentimes symbolicall of a few thing else. The burning lake of Hell is this international, i've got self assurance that while we die we are judged via what we did in our lives stable or undesirable, I dont think of it concerns what faith we are as long as we adore one yet another, all religions practice the comparable ingredient and that's concord. No i could in no way deliver my babies to an eternity in Hell, and neither could our author, yet he will attempt to coach us and supply us threat after threat, going to hell is quite having to return backpedal here and stay returned until eventually we get it top!! finally we can all flow to Heaven, in spite of our photograph of Heaven is we can be their!! confident unconditional love exists Our Father In Heaven has given it to us!!! some people dont have self assurance in Reincarnation because of fact they have not got any memory of residing in the past this, yet do they even undergo in innovations what that they had for dinner final Monday? Does that mean that it did no longer exist? examine up on reincarnation yet dont forget that Jesus is likewise genuine and he died for our sins and replaced into risen returned to be on the final hand of God, and it is the reason none people will flow to Hell we are already their some people worse than others.
