You forget dear watson that orthodox Christians, believe that the earth is millions and billions of years old.

And the original text points to a time when the earth was without light and encapsulated in ice.

Your genius scientists are just now finding that out, when we have known that for thousands of years.
Keep up the good work, proving how little you really know.

God is real

Explain again,

Where did that first living atom come from?

I knew you could not do it.

So until you can answer that, shut up and let the believers at least believe in something that does have answers.

Enjoy eternity in your grave, thats all you have to look forward to as an unbeliever.

the term christrian is to describe a follower of christ. jesus christ did not write the bible and actually the bible as we know it encompasses a number of texts from various ancient religions. this is a fact that actually very few people even realize or recognize including self proclaimed christians. your statements are highly ignorant but at the same time alot of self proclaimed christians are ignorant as well so i guess that is just the human condition. christ only taught brotherly love not science or history. so how the world is created has nothing to do with christanity. you are mistaking religeous dogma for christ techings but that is a mistake self proclaimed christians make as well. i say self proclaimed christians because any body who truly is a follwer of "christs" words would realize how corrupt and un christlike the general religious body is.

That's called creation, not evolution. I do think that creation and evolution go hand-in-hand, though. As a Christian, it doesn't say to mean that God created everything in 6 consecutive days. It says that on the 6th day...and He rested on the 7th. That opens the door to evolutionary processes. There are very many examples of how both theories meet scientific calls as well as matters of spiritual faith. God gave us science, too, as an instrument for us to study His creations and to appreciate all that He has given to us through the ages of time.

No it's not, it's called star formation. It's probably best not to use the word 'evolution' in such a context on this forum, as the people who have issues with biological evolution probably aren't smart enough to make the distinction between different uses of the word.

How could Allah create the world in 6 days if science has proved that the world and universe took millions of years to make?

Let us look at Noble Verse 7:54 "Your Guardian-Lord Is Allah, Who created the heavens and the earth in six days, then He established Himself on the Throne (of authority): He draweth the night as a veil O'er the day, each seeking the other in rapid succession: He created the sun, the moon, and the stars, (all) governed by laws under His command. Is it not His to create and to govern? Blessed be Allah, the Cherisher and Sustainer of the worlds!" According to the Noble Quran, the initial stage of the Universe was created in six days. But however, the Universe is not static. It is dynamic and constantly changing and expanding.

Let us look at Noble Verse 51:47 "And the firmament, We constructed with power and skill and verily We are expanding it." The Universe according to the Noble Quran will keep expanding and changing until the Day of Judgment.

The Universe will also shrink: "The Day that We roll up the heavens like a scroll rolled up for books (completed),- even as We produced the first creation, so shall We produce a new one: a promise We have undertaken: truly shall We fulfil it. (The Noble Quran, 21:104)"

The Galaxies of the Universe will all explode: "And when the heaven splitteth asunder and becometh ROSY LIKE RED HIDE - (The Noble Quran, 55:37)"

"The universe starts with a Big Bang, expands to a maximum dimension, then recontracts and collapses (to the Big Crunch); no more awe-inspiring prediction was ever made." Quotation from Charles W. Misner, Kip S. Thorne and John A. Wheeler in "Gravitation", W. H. Freeman, San Francisco, 1973, page 1196.

The Expansion of the Universe

Edwin Hubble with his giant telescope
In the Qur'an, which was revealed 14 centuries ago at a time when the science of astronomy was still primitive, the expansion of the universe was described like this:

"And it is We who have constructed the heaven with might, and verily, it is We who are steadily expanding it."
(The Qur'an, 51:47)

The word "heaven", as stated in this verse, is used in various places in the Qur'an with the meaning of space and universe. Here again, the word is used with this meaning. In other words, in the Qur'an it is revealed that the universe "expands". And this is the very conclusion that science has reached today.

Georges Lemaitre
Until the dawn of the 20th century, the only view prevailing in the world of science was that "the universe has a constant nature and it has existed since infinite time". The research, observations, and calculations carried out by means of modern technology, however, have revealed that the universe in fact had a beginning, and that it constantly "expands".

At the beginning of the 20th century, the Russian physicist Alexander Friedmann and the Belgian cosmologist Georges Lemaitre theoretically calculated that the universe is in constant motion and that it is expanding.

This fact was proved also by observational data in 1929. While observing the sky with a telescope, Edwin Hubble, the American astronomer, discovered that the stars and galaxies were constantly moving away from each other. A universe where everything constantly moves away from everything else implied a constantly expanding universe. The observations carried out in the following years verified that the universe is constantly expanding. This fact was explained in the Qur'an when that was still unknown to anyone. This is because the Qur'an is the word of God, the Creator, and the Ruler of the entire universe.

From the moment of the big bang, the universe has been constantly expanding at a great speed. Scientists compare the expanding universe to the surface of a balloon that is inflated.

Continuing with my article....

Allah Almighty never gave any number for the Universe's age. Muslims do not believe that humans for instance existed only 5,000 years ago and will die in year 2000 or 2059 as many Christians believe.

Allah Almighty was very accurate in His claims in the Noble Quran. For instance, science proved that the metal "iron" was not created from earthly material or reactions. Iron was sent by burning stars traveling through space that had collided with earth! When those stars collided with earth and their melted metals cooled down and changed from liquid burned/melted metals to hard solid metals, they formed the metal of what we call today iron.

Let us look at Noble Verse 57:25 "We sent aforetime Our messengers with clear signs and sent down them the Book and the Balance (of right and wrong), that men may stand forth in justice; and We sent down iron, in which is (material for) Mighty war, as well as many benefits for mankind, that Allah may test who it is that will help, unseen, Him and His messengers: For Allah is Full of strength, exalted in Might (And able to enforce His Will)."
