Up until 4 weeks ago I was regularly going to circuit training. Since then, what with one thing and another, I've not been able to go as frequently, and today when running into work I noticed a marked redution in performance.

I'm going away for 3 weeks as crew on a ship (gym and l will be worked hard, but limited space to run), and really want to finish there something near my old fitness level, indeed ready for the 5 mile run I've got the following week.

Any tips/words of encouragement/tell me its all in my head!?!?!

what you have experienced is normal. cardiovascular performance can decrease by as much as 35% by the 3-4 week of detraining

no worries after a couple of weeks and you will be right back to where you left off at
