Depends on who you ask - these countries could be kazillions of years old!

Well - if you mean as a nation:

"The Commonwealth of Australia was formed in 1901 when six independent British colonies agreed to join together and become states of a new nation." -1

"New Zealand was granted limited self-government in the 1850s, and by the late 19th century was a fully self governing country in most senses. In 1893 it became the first nation in the world to give women the vote. In 1907, New Zealand became an independent Dominion, and a fully independent nation in 1947 when the Statute of Westminster (1931) was ratified, although in practice Britain had ceased to play any real role in the government of New Zealand much earlier than this." -2

Australia has some of the oldest rocks on the planet 4 billion years.

New Zealand is on the boundary of 2 tectonic plates, and in geological terms, was formed yesterday.

Human population? Australia was first inhabited 60,000 / 40,000 years ago. NZ probably less than 1,00.

Australia was founded in 1888, however indigenous Australians have been there for much longer of course.
New Zealand's first Europeans landed in 1642, but apparently Eastern Polynesians were the first to settle there somewhere between 800 and 1300 AD.
Hope that helps.
