I too had a similar problem when I first began seeking employment as a naval architect almost seven years ago. It's best to look in smaller industry, like private companies. Sometimes those seeking other positions, such as; technical illustrator or draftsman would be willing to bend the rules a tad. I have found where I reside, that cities are not always looking for architects. I thought that I would be able to get a job instantly in my city where I lived about twenty minutes outside of. Not the case. I eventually found employment in a small family-owned architecture business about ten minutes from my residence.

try ur hand working with small companies. a lot depends on your area of interest and basic qualifications. you may start working for petty contractors and then move on to big construction companies or start your won business.
Post your resume on job sites, it will help you get a decent job
