Not in the least. God tells us to question everything. Our meter against which to test things: The Bible. He tells us to study and to be diligent in doing so. Test the spirits to see if they be from God. If you just accept or reject out of hand any data, you can never truly learn, and certainly never have a solid foundation in your beliefs. Question everything, including the things you tested and questioned yesterday. You'll never learn it all, but no reason not to try to.

What are your motives for asking questions? Questioning to get an answer? Questioning to challenge authority?
1 John 4:1 reminds us, "Beloved ones, do not believe every inspired expression, but test the inspired expressions to see whether they originate with God, because many false prophets have gone forth into the world." So rather than blindly putting your faith in a certain belief or doctrine, you should test it to see weither it agrees with God's standards. If God, through the Bible, is telling us to test inspired expressions, then surely asking questions with a view to finding the answer to them is not a sin.
Of course if you're questioning your beliefs with a view to disprove something, you'll disprove it.

Jesus never said to follow a holy book. Challenging our understanding of truth is exactly what we must do. If you want to challenge the bible and increase your faith, do what Jesus told you to do. Listen to the Spirit of truth within you. You will never increase your faith by trying to believe things that are not true. God is not responsible for the confusion.

Questioning is good, blind faith is bad.
Science can purify religion from error and superstition. Religion can purify science from idolatry and false absolutes.

To question is positive. It means you want more knowledge. It isn't a sin.
