I were to add blue-black highlights? I want to create depth in my hair and I was wondering if that would do the trick and if it would look pretty.

I don't think I'd get a goth look since my skin color is a medium tan color. My natural hair color is very dark brown, almost black.

I would recommend highlighting with something lighter if you are wanting to add depth. If your hair is a level three (dark brown/black) you may want to consider highlighting with a level 6 (medium brown). Highlights are more dramatic and are more popular because most stylists are more familar with them.

Lowlights (colors added that are darker than your current shade) create a less dramatic but nice effect. Lowlights are generally two shades darker than your starting shade.

If you are getting your hair done professionally and you can afford it, you may want to consider highlights and lowlights.

I'm sorry that I was unable to find a picture.

I know a few people with deep brown who tried to die their hear black and did not work well. why don't you try auburn highlights that's beautiful especially the east Indian complexion

aubure is like a deep redish brown which there are also medium levels of auburn if you want your hair lighter

i would look up pictures of what you are trying to do on the internet and then go to a very good stylist and ask their opinion. make sure you bring the pictures, so there is no confusion about what you want.

Jet black hair. I have truly dark brown hair and I think dark hair looks better. I may really like blonde hair.
