Jehovah's Witnesses are well known for the fact that they reject the trinity doctrine. The BIble says clearly that there is only one true God who is Jehovah. Jesus is God's first creation, so, not a part of a trinity. The holy spirit is God's active force.
"This is what Jehovah has said, the King of Israel and the Repurchaser of him, Jehovah of armies, ‘I am the first and I am the last, and besides me there is no God." -- Isaiah 44:6
"He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation." -- Colossians 1:15
"....The Father is greater than I am." -- John 14:28
"And I shall have to come down and speak with you there; and I shall have to take away some of the spirit that is upon you and place it upon them, and they will have to help you in carrying the load of the people that you may not carry it, just you alone." -- Numbers 11:17
Nobody is born a Jehovah's Witness. Every person has the right to choose a religion and he can do that when he gains a maturity and not as a little baby. Let's think about Jesus and the first Christians. They got baptized at an age when they were able to make their own decisions.
"Peter [said] to them: “Repent, and let each one of YOU be baptized in the name of Jesus Christ for forgiveness of YOUR sins, and YOU will receive the free gift of the holy spirit. For the promise is to YOU and to YOUR children and to all those afar off, just as many as Jehovah our God may call to him.” And with many other words he bore thorough witness and kept exhorting them, saying: “Get saved from this crooked generation.” Therefore those who embraced his word heartily were baptized, and on that day about three thousand souls were added." -- Acts 2:38-41

I was raised as a JW, and, like most people, I got curious and started asking questions about what other religions taught. (Simply because I didn't know how other religions worked. But mostly, because I wanted to know what other people were being taught so that I could better understand how to preach to them.) And I found that while all of our teachings are from the Bible, there was especially one thing that JW's do that no other religion does, that is, the worldwide preaching work. No other religion is preaching about the good news of God's Kingdom to the entire earth. (Matthew 24:14) I look around at the world today, and everyone just seems so lost. True happiness is very rare, but Jehovah's organization has satisfying, Biblical answers to all of life's questions. And we're happy because we know we have the truth. Being a part of a worldwide, loving brotherhood, is a feeling like no other. So my advice to you, is to see for yourself. Find a Kingdom Hall and ask for a free Bible study. May Jehovah bless your efforts in finding the true religion.
Psalms 34:8 - "Taste and see that Jehovah is good, O YOU people; Happy is the able-bodied man that takes refuge in him."
Rachel B
I've been baptized as one of Jehovah's Witnesses for 10 years and I couldn't be happier.

I was raised by Witness parents, but did not become one until 2001. I do think there are other groups that deny the trinity doctrine. I think the best thing to do if you want to learn about/from us is to go to a Kingdom Hall and ask any questions you have. I would definitely suggest studying with us, for one thing you would definitely learn whether you wanted to be a Witness and hopefully you might learn more to help you in your search God.
PLEASE do not take what we on here say as resolute fact. While I know I am a Witness and have the right facts, there is no way for you to know since this is simply over the net. Please talk to a Witness face to face.

Yes, the Bible course will help you to decide...you will learn what the Bible really teaches! I was raised as a Methodist, but I studied the Bible for many years on my own, without going to any church. I read everything I could get my hands on that appeared to be Christian. I studied the Bible nearly 24/7, but I read so many other things, that I found myself in the following situation...
My mother (Methodist preacher) and I were having a discussion about the end-times, and I was saying something like, "the Bible says this" and my mom says, "honey, I don't believe that is what the Bible says"...well that got me to thinking that many of the preconceived ideas that I had about religion and what the Bible said was not necessarily coming from the Bible, but from interpretaions of others. These "others" were making a lot of money iinterpreting the bible for us so that we don't have to read it for ourselves...that is how the lie of the trinity can be believed by so many! Anyway, I prayed and kept studying, and then I met the Witnesses. They teach the Bible! They apply Bible principles to every area of their lives, and they follow all of its teachings. Being one of Jehovah's Witnesses is not a religion, it is a way of life where serving God is top priority. The truth is precious to us. The Bible is God's Word to us, and it is the basis for all of our beliefs. If you are truly seeking to please God, and to learn the truth, then by all means study with the Witnesses...you have nothing to lose and everything to gain! Then you can make up your mind based on first hand knowledge, and not what someone who doesn't know tells you. I am so glad that I did! My life has changed drastically and is full of joy and peace! Serving the one true God, Jehovah, is the most satisfying course for one's life!
John 13: 34 & 35: " I am giving YOU a new commandment, that YOU love one another; just as I have loved YOU, that YOU also love one another. 35 By this all will know that YOU are my disciples, if YOU have love among yourselves.”
Now I have a wonderful worldwide family of very loving brothers and sisters! We are bonded in our love and service to Jehovah and his Son, Jesus Christ!

all I can tell you from my 25 year study of all of the worlds *major* belief systems (both theist and atheist) is that the JWs know the Bible better than any other religious organization on earth and that they always refer to the Scriptures for answers to *all* questions and that they are fine with using *any* Bible translation to study with you, the New World Translation that they publish has been accredited by Bible scholars as overall the most accurate translation available today (this was actually a question on the game show Jeopardy)
The Word of God (the Bible) exerts power and when you actually study it you will learn many things and JWs know the Bible better than anyone else. As you study God's Word the Bible, you can then decide if the Way of Christ is right for you.
I suggest that you study the Bible with JWs, since the only other religions I have found that realize that the trinity god is a false pagan Roman god are very small isolated groups and the other trinity-rejecting religion's dont have *all* of their people preaching like Jesus and the first century Christians from house to house in every single country worldwide.
I've yet to meet a JW who isn't trying hard to live according to Christ's example and pure Bible teaching without all the un-Scriptural Romist "traditions of men"; 1 Peter 2:21
That is why, of the literally dozens of religions I've studied first hand, I believe JWs are the closest (though nowhere near perfect) to pure worship of YHWH/Jehovah who is the God that Yhshua/Jesus serves. John 20:17; Acts 3:13; Revelation 3:12; 1 Corinthians 15:24-28
agape!

I have a friend that is one of Jehovah's Witnesses and I have learned more out of the bible in a few short weeks than I learned growing up in a Church. All you learn in Church is be nice. They are like politicians they talk but they don't say anything. They don't want to take a stand and say God doesn't like this or that.
The Witnesses are different they say God doesn't like that and if you want to be in God's kingdom you have to do his will.
I like that they are not afraid to take a stand for what they believe. I truly do not believe in the trinity. Those who are in that religion are honest and hard working people. We have quite a few in this community. They are hardly a cult when they invite everyone in town to come to their meetings.
I Went and it was nice. They really know their bible and everyone will try to discourage you from studying.
when I was and still am wild that was fine with everyone, no problem. But when you study with Jehovah's Witnesses the family and the whole town come down on you like a ton of bricks. From what I have learned and know about these people maybe they do that because they have the truth.
Remember Jesus wasn't popular when he walked the earth either. I wrote down these scriptures they showed me that the trinity isn't true.
Jesus was created the almighty has always been here, these are the scriptures to prove it.
(Colossians 1:15-17) . . .5 He is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of all creation; 16 because by means of him all [other] things were created in the heavens and upon the earth, the things visible and the things invisible, no matter whether they are thrones or lordships or governments or authorities. All [other] things have been created through him and for him. 17 Also, he is before all [other] things and by means of him all [other] things were made to exist,
(Revelation 3:14) 14 “And to the angel of the congregation in La·o·di·ce´a write: These are the things that the Amen says, the faithful and true witness, the beginning of the creation by God,
(Acts 7:55) 55 But he, being full of holy spirit, gazed into heaven and caught sight of God’s glory and of Jesus standing at God’s right hand,
(Revelation 1:1) 1 A revelation by Jesus Christ, which God gave him, to show his slaves the things that must shortly take place. And he sent forth his angel and presented [it] in signs through him to his slave John,
(Revelation 7:10) 10 And they keep on crying with a loud voice, saying: “Salvation [we owe] to our God, who is seated on the throne, and to the Lamb.”

I was born and raised a Catholic. However I could not see the sense in all the rituals, the teachings made no sense and the hypocrisy was too much to bear.
But I always believed in 'God'.I prayed for answers. Finally, ten years ago I studied the Bible with Jehovah's Witnesses.I couldnt believe the difference - everything was answered from the Bible.Everything was taught from the Bible!I thank Jehovah every day for the wonderful priviledge of allowing me to be part of his earthly organisation.
I am totally convinced that this is the true religion. There is only one true God and there can be only one true religion.
I can only suggest to you to go to a local Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses and ask for a free home bible study. There is absolutely no obligation.A study will be set up for say once a week.If you decide you dont want to continue, just let the brother know who is studying with you.
Many ridicule, spread lies, are hostile, hateful etc toward Jehovahs Witnesses. But that just reaffirms Jesus' words at John 15:18-20:"If the world hates you,you know that it has hated me before it hated you..."and at Matt.10:22 Jesus said that his followers would be "objects of hatred by all people" on account of his name. The apostle Paul wrote that all of God's servants should expect to be persecuted.(2Tim.2:12).
So when people talk lies about us and are rude and nasty it just strengthens my faith in the knowledge that this is the Truth! This is the only true religion!

My mother was an inactive Jehovah's Witness from the time I was born or shortly thereafter up until I was about 5. When I started asking questions about God and the Bible, she reached out to a local sister who began studying with our family and my mother became active again. I was dedicated and baptized in 1968.
No one ever forced me to do anything I did not want to do when it came to worship. My father was not a Witness and always left the choice to us. Of my 4 sisters 2 others beside me are Jehovah's Witnesses. Neither of my brothers are at this time.
I highly recommend that you take advantage of the free home Bible study. It will definitely help you to make a decision. You will be taught basic Bible truths and how to study and research yourself. Contrary to what some think. Jehovah's Witnesses are strongly encouraged to read and study the Bible themselves and to serve Jehovah, not blindly, but with our "power of reason".(Romans 12:1)

I come from a long line of Evangelical Baptists, and was baptized into that religion. For a while, I was also attracted to Sunni Islam, and learned a lot about that religion.
However, I never learned as much about the Bible, nor had as close a personal relationship with God and his Son, the Lord Jesus Christ, as I have since becoming one of Jehovah's Witnesses.
This was a result of my own study and personal involvement with Jehovah's Witnesses, not the result of what somebody told me.
Many people don't like Jehovah's Witnesses for a variety of reasons. Whether they have never been Witnesses, or they are ex-Witnesses, you will get a distorted picture of Jehovah's Witness if you only listen to non-Witnesses or to opposers of the Witnesses.
Examine for yourself, and make your own decision. Personally, this is the best place for me, and being one of Jehovah's Witnesses has given me the best life that I could live.

Well, Matthew, many will tell you to stay away and that is the miss information from people who, for the most part, let someone else make decisions for them which is pretty sad.
I accepted a Bible study in my home weekly over 14 years ago and learned a lot. Like you I believed even before that the Trinity was not Scriptural and after doing research on my own....not even affiliated with the Witnesses I found enough to understand that there is not a God who claims to be "The True God" that would fashion himself (and by extension His son) after false God's from Babylon, Egypt, etc.
The current publication being studied, by the way, is titled "What the Bible Really Teaches". In 19 chapters contained in only 194 pages you will be able to see what God's spirit is doing to free those who are looking for the truth with a good, pure motive. And that would be to Worship the only true God in the way that is acceptable to him, would it not?
When you find and accept God's truth then you will truly be free.
"“If YOU remain in my word, YOU are really my disciples, 32 and YOU will know the truth, and the truth will set YOU free.”" - John 8:31-31
(James 1:25) But he who peers into the perfect law that belongs to freedom and who persists in [it], this [man], because he has become, not a forgetful hearer, but a doer of the work, will be happy in his doing [it].
You do not have to join in order to take advantage of the free Bible Study. You are not obligated to do anything. You mentioned baptism and that is commendable, but there are many things that you would have to learn and accept in order to get to the point of baptism.
I could have been baptized in about 4 months, but I am glad that I waited an additional 6 months, as I didn't want to rush into a lifelong commitment that I couldn't stand up to.
However, if someone told you the truth thousands of times why would you think that you would get anything but the truth from them? May the True God, Jehovah, bless your efforts to stand up to religious error and be decisive.
Email me if you have questions, and thanks for your Question.
