No they just want to get a head start being Muslim, before the Democrats turn over America to them.

Personally, I felt closer to Islam when I was in the U.S. than I did after moving to Morocco. Don't get me wrong - I love this country, my husband is Moroccan, I have nothing against Islam - but the little things in this society that directly stem from the religion (and I admit they are not OF the religion, but because of it).
For example, women - try walking down the street in Morocco with a baggy sweatshirt and baggy pants and see how many times you get catcalled or whistled at or hear a man say something nasty to you...Why? Because men are taught that a girl walking alone (without her hair covered, presumably) is fair game, she isn't proper.
And "insha'allah," which means "God willing," right? Not in Morocco - here it usually means "maybe" or just plain "no." Shame is such a massive part of the culture that people abuse God's name to save face.
So to answer your question - I would've been more likely to embrace Islam had I not experienced life in a Muslim country.
And most of the converts I know here converted for the sake of marriage, but don't actually practice. Mostly men. I know a few genuine converts (all women), but even still, most married a Moroccan before converting (which is not to say that's WHY they converted, just to say that perhaps they wouldn't have had the idea to otherwise).

How can there be such a thing a a moslem "nation"? A nation cannot read, being not a person, and cannot make a decision to submit to allah and all that. (Perhaps you meant countries where lots of the residents are moslem?)
Secondly, there have always been moslems in America, amongst the great melting pot of cultural acceptance which the entire moslem diaspora would do well to learn. There's always been individuals converting to Islam in the USA and for every single one of those it has been a personal, individual decision. Thier right and their own private business - which is what makes America a better place to be! But in realityy, the tides of conversion are always toward better understandings of god (often mistaken, even by their proponents, as atheism or agnosticism) and we are doing SO SO SO much better than the naive thinking of 3rd or 7th century peasants.

I'm an Arab-American/Christian and I've just moved to Jordan and you'd be surprised at how many white American men I've met here converting to Islam just to marry Arab/Muslim women, because they find them attractive. I have never met a white American man serious about being a Muslim what so ever and also I've met white American women and they are, I believe, are incredibly brain washed and quiet...almost as if afraid to speak their mind and walk behind their men. Which we all know American women are taught better, lol! If you think Islam is a fast growing religion, it's not because many people are converting it's because Muslims have about 10 kids each and then Muslim men are allowed to have 4 wives. Most Christians only have 2 to 4 kids at most now a days, lol :)

Actually, I would have to say YES, this is partly true for me. I began learning about Islam shortly before I met my husband, who is a Muslim. I then moved from the US to Morocco, where he lives, and we married. Since I have arrived here I have continued studying Islam and have decided to revert (convert). Living here and seeing how Islam is practiced, how women are REALLY treated by Muslim men (very well, by the way), I knew that Islam is what I wanted in my life.
Unlike most of the other answers you have received, I can speak from actual experience. So many people think they know how Islam is but they have never experienced it firsthand like I do every day.

Some of you people are ridiculous... Islam IS a peaceful religion. You people have the fundamentalist aspect ingrained in your heads. Are you even capable of picking up a textbook and teaching yourself about something before you speak out and sound ignorant?
I do not know what you mean by spending more time in Muslim nations. I can only think that you mean the armed forces and journalists in the middle east... who probably don't have the time right now to change religions.

No, the latest statistics shows that people are more converting to Christianity and that the Christians around the world is more than any other religion. So this is impossible to happen.
This Statistics where made by Stat Co. in Beirut, Lebanon.

Are you kidding??? Americans who have spent time in Muslim nations know how bloody, oppressive, and backward Islam truly is. They've seen the truth behind the "Islam-is-peaceful" propaganda!

No. More Americans are abandoning religion completely as a result of spending time in Muslim nations. Thanks you Muslims for revealing religion for what it truly is!

Just the reverse. As to Christians....hypocrites can smell other hypocrites from a mile away.
Christians.....don't know how to shut up and stop threatening.
Muslims.....don't know how to stop threatening and killing.
Together, they make Judaism look like a great religion, if it wasn't so hard to join.
