I was talking to a science teacher a few months back. He was teaching a biology class, and we got on the subject of evolution verses creation. I told him I believed in creation, that God created everything in 6 days, and created man in His image. I told him it's better than what he's teaching his students, that everything evolved from a rock. He said that's crazy, I don't teach that life evolved from a rock. So I asked him, where did life evolve from? He said it evolved from a one cell amoeba. Then I asked him, where did the one cell amoeba come from? He said the one cell amoeba came from the primordial soup. So then I asked him where did the primordial soup come from? He said it rained on the rocks for millions of years.............he stopped talking, and just stood there thinking. He realized he did believe that life evolved from a rock. This the Athiest call science.
Does anyone here believe that this is a stupid theory, or do you believe God Created?

The Weasel.........You're right, they usually do have answers. But you should have seen the look on this teachers face; it was a pained and tortured look as he was thinking. He realized I was right, he did believe that life evolved from a rock.
Life evolving from a rock........or creation by an All-mighty and Loving God? Only believing that God created makes sense.

On the Plow...........I don't know where you came up with the figure of 99%, but it's nowhere near that. Biologist who believe in evolution are in the majority, but many scientist are beginning to realzie there are lots of problems with the evolution theory and are changing their opinion. By the way, scientific truth isn't determined by majority opinion.

Crypto..............maybe you should check the libraries out. If there was any oxygen in the primordial soup, it would have oxidizes the original amoebae, preventing life. Also, amino acids would never have formed together to produce protein in a promordial soup that is made mainly with water. Water breaks down proteins, and prevents amino acids from forming chains.

If you want to go all the way back, then ,according to the evolution theory, we do come from rocks. So, while we are going back to the very roots, let us go back in time with Creationism. Adam was made by God...God created Adam from dust...If rain did continuously fall unto rocks, then rocks would erode. When rocks erode, they turn into dust. So effectively, both the Evolution and Creation theories theorizes that at some point we come from dust.
The Bible was written thousands of years ago, it was written by people of that time, to be understood by people of that time. For example, the Bible mentions on many occasions that the earth is flat. (It does in one place say circular, but that does not necessarily mean the Bible is saying the Earth is round, for example, plates are circular, but not round)
What is easier to explain: Gravity pulling us towards the center of a round earth, or simplifying it to a largely uneducated society by saying the earth is flat.
Before we take the Bible word for word, we should first find out what the original writings said, as they have changed much, due to translation and misunderstanding.
When we look at Genesis 1 in the earliest found writings, we see the usage of a Hebrew word that we assume means "Day". However, the word used has 1 of 3 meanings:
1) A period of light between 2 periods of darkness,
2) A period of light together with the preceding period of darkness, or
3) a prolonged period of time.
The meanings are used interchangeably throughout the Bible, however, not one equates to exactly 24 hours, although, the second is the closest. There is no indisputable indication as to which is meant in Genesis 1. The Bible provides no specific statement as to how long ago matter was created.
Not once are the words sunset or sunrise used in the original writings.
According to the Bible, the sun was only created on day 4, which also leads to the greatest evidence that the word used in Genesis 1 does not indicate a 24 hour day. (Although it does not disprove it either).
The point I am trying to make is: The Bible was written a long time ago and it contains many contradictions and sections that have been proven to be wrong. (Most errors might be due to translation mistakes and does not necessarily effect the authenticity of the Bible itself.)
We have to understand that some sections are meant to be read symbolically. (I do not presume to have the knowledge to say ,with absolute proof, which sections should be read symbolically and which should not, but I do think that section is one of them)
Therefor, one can believe in both the Creation and Evolution theories. Remember, Evolution teaches that everything came from a dot probably smaller than a dot on a page, but where did that dot come from? The way you answer THAT question determines whether you believe in God or not.

hehehe, way to go. I find it funny that people look at evolution and see what's going on now, and what's happened in the past and say it should move from a theory to a scientific law even though it is IMPOSSIBLE (yes, I said the "I" word) for life to come from nothing.
Many brilliant evolutionists have run into that same wall, and what do they do?
Einstein said that only way for life to be possible was if their was some universal constant (or something/someone that's been around forever).
One of the men that discovered DNA said that the only way that life can exist here on earth is that the first cells were transported here from another planet.
I don't even know why we're teaching evoilution as truth in schools when we're not even close to proving how it all started. It's like reading only the last chapter in a book and saying you know everything that goes on beforehand.

It goes back to one of my questions. Man has answers but when they are asked to defend there answers and have some evidence to support their answers, they end up quiet and just say "I don't want to talk about it", next subject. The thing we have to realize is, that they can't get it they are dead, spiritually dead. So any rational belief that there is a real God and He did created the heavens and earth and He did send his One and Only Son to die on behalf of the world is impossible for them to believe w/o the help of the Holy Spirit and God himself. Keep up the faith. Stay strong. And always be prepared to give an answer of why you believe. See you in heaven!
Actually, anyone that says that creation science is an oxymoron because it involves faith is plainly put...a moron. You mean to believe that a christian who has faith that our Creator created the heavens and the earth is anything different than you believing that life came from a rock? if you believe that life came from a rock a bang or anything else besides what is taught from the Book of Genesis that takes faith! Which means your religion is or faith is I came from a rock.
So given the choice I choose our Creator's account over life from a rocky soup!!!!!!!!

"he stopped talking, and just stood there thinking. He realized he did believe that life evolved from a rock. This the Athiest call science."
Maybe he just got tired talking to a creationist.
There's a whole lot of stuff on the topic of 'abiogenesis' out there if you're actually willing to go to a science library at a major university and do some digging. You could always check out the Wikipedia entry on abiogenesis here:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Abiogenesis
And if you think that scientists think that life evolved from a rock, you don't know scientists. It's probably more of a primordial soup of oxygen, carbon dioxide, methane, basic amino acids, and a lot of other simple organic compounds....

THAT IS SOOOO FUNNY!!!! You have actually made me laugh! This instructor should be on Def Comedy or something. But in all honesty EVERYONE has their own beliefs. I personally believe that only an Almighty God could create something as wonderful and mass as the Universe. Big Bang? Dang!!! Soup? Are you serious? People from monkeys? I think that the people who come up with this stuff are just what hell is CREATED for.

Here's a great place to go to see things about Darwinism Refuted:
Once Upon a Time there was Darwinism:
Darwinism, has long been defunct from the scientific point of view. This great error has been based on the inadequate level of 19th-century science.

I'm not gonna claim to understand God. That would be like a one celled bit of rock soup saying they understand a human. I find the whole argument ridiculous. WE ARE. I think that God would prefer for us to wander together into the tomorrow rather than bitchin at each other about what happened yesterday. Have a little faith in love, and get on with it already.

You try to sum up the most complex theories ever proposed in human history in a paragraph, then call it stupid (straw man)
If you are really interested in the origin of life and the universe then research the topic. It is very easy to say "GOD DID IT" since you obviously don't understand and i don't blame you, but the least you could do is take the time to TRY and see for yourself what the evidence is.
BTW as for wether i belive in the theory of evolution.....OF COURSE I DO, and so do 99% of all biologists (most of whom are religious and even Christian)
Ted.tard---Not only do you reject all of modern geology (the earth is NOT 6000 yrs old), I don't believe you could give me even 100 Biologists in the world who don't accept the FACT of evolution(and if you could i cold give you hundreds of thousands who do).
And creation science is an oxymoron, once you call into play, a supernatural god, then, by definition you are not doing science anymore, you are doing religion.

I strongly believe that God everything came into existence by the breath of God. It is always the design used by the devil to deny the fact that God created everything but in his(devil's) heart he agrees that God created everything.
