I am not trying to be funny. It is driving me crazy. Every single time I look he is masturbating on my blankets. I am about ready to throw him out permanently. Yes-he is neutered and about 5 years old-Siamese. I inherited him with our new house. HELP!

i believe you, i had a 5 yr old orange tabby (neutered) that did that with only one specific blanket. we tried spraying it with cleaner, washed it over and over, but he still chose that particular blanket. does your cat bite it and hold it in his mouth like he would a female cat while mating? that is what my cat did. I assume it is a form of dominance/pecking order, and since he can't do it to you what better thing than a blanket? good luck, we were never able to break our cat of it so we just gave him the blanket...maybe it is a psychological issue...

I had a cat who would do that to one of my couch pillows. I "gave" him the pillow for his personal use and he was a happy content fellow after that. Some animals do masturbate because it feels good. If it's not too much of a problem for you, give the cat the blanket and get another one for yourself.
Put the blanket in a place the cat likes to spend time (other than your bed). Then you will both be happy. This isn't really a serious situation unless you make it one.

Are you sure he's neutered? I had a cat who use to do that all the time until he was neutered. I think you should take him to the vet just to make sure. I think they would be a lot better at knowing how to stop it. Dont throw him out!! its not his fault, poor thing! Also, there's this spray that you can usually find at like target or walmart, and its so that when you spray it on something cats dont want to go near that. So you can try that too! good luck! =]

I would get him his own blanket to do it on. Most Siamese have behavioral problems. I do not know why. Are you positive that he is masturbating? Or is he pawing and sucking on the blanket like he is nursing. Usually this is the weird behavior in this breed.

lol I know you are serious, but that is funny. We had a problem with our small dog doing the same thing. He used to have a small blanket that he slept on, and he would pull it out to the middle of the floor and masturbate on it. The only way I got him to stop was to get rid of the blanket. Now he doesn't do it anymore. Try replacing the blanket he's doing it on, if he continues doing it on any blanket...dont allow him on them. Just like you wouldn't allow him on your stove....make blankets in your house be just like a stove to him. he's not allowed on them.

well... Siamese cats are really weird cats...
my cat belongs to that breed too...and he's the Master of Disaster, i admit it...he's got this weird behavior where he's got a knack of chewing ANYTHING that is made of leather...
i figured that maybe he likes the taste of the handles..you know.. the salty taste caused by the sweaty hands that touched it... so i washed the bags, and then, he stopped chewing it...
maybe, you should wash the blanket where he usually masturbates...maybe the former owner of the house had female kitties and he liked the scent of it, and your cat thought that it was a real pussy cat...
just try washing it. that's all...and yeah, good luck!

lol i get hell paranoid if i dont have a blanket in between me and the door. i can do it if no one is home though, thats not a problem. just wait till no ones home and do it without the blankets. michaels a creeper. and since you live on your own thats even easier. just tell yourself your not going to do it with a blanket. and dont let yourself. make it work without the blankets. lol

Try a SPRAY BOTTLE. With my kitties I have a spray bottle (adjust it to where its a stream not a spray) and when you see him doing it on the blanket squirt him. Cats hate water - may not even realize where its coming from but if every time he starts doing it and you spray him eventually he is going to realize .... he'll think wow every time I do this I get sprayed with water and I don't like it! ... and he should stop.

Lmao, my cat likes to hump furry things and he is neutered. He humps teddy bears and our other cat, its gross. Give him something he can masterbate on that he can use all the time without it bothering you, like a blanket you dont use.

Get him a female kitty. Even though they can not do it, he will hump the hell out of it when ever he likes.
