Not all religions...but Jews, Christians and Muslims do worship exactly the same God - although I doubt that most people who call themselves Christians would actually realise that or admit it - sadly.

Muslims, however, are well aware of it as Jesus is one of their main prophets - the difference being that they do not believe him to be God's son / God incarnate etc.

No. The God of the old testament (the one the jews worship) is very different than the God described in the new testament (the one the Christians worhsip). They're supposed to be the same God, but to Jews the new testament is all bs anyway. After the new testament was written, muhammad wrote the quran, which was supposed to be kind of the last text inspired by God and the true one. Muslims still believe in Jesus, but they only believe he was a prophet, not the son of God.

With a really brief history out of the way, I would argue that the God of these religions is different. The God of the Jews is intolerable of faithlessness, and generally mean (read some of it, a very interesting document). The God of the new testamnet is supposed to be the same God, but is much more tolerant, allowing people besides hebrews a place in heaven (if they become christians, the price of Jesus' death). The Quran seems to justify love and hate, depending on the circumstances. From the perspective of any one of these religions, there is only ONE God, and the other members of different religions are going to hell. No exceptions unless you completely ignore what the religion teaches.

Wouldn't it be nice if everyone did worship the same God though?

Mostly.

The three main Western religions, Jews, Christians (including Catholics), and Muslims, all worship the God of Abraham. Although they worship Him in different ways.

The major Easter religions are much different. Buddhism is almost an atheistic religion.

With love in Christ.

No theories about it. No, they don't worship the same God.

Christians ( Catholics are Christians too, by the way. ) as well as Jews, worship the God of Abraham, Issac, and Jacob. The Muslims do not acknowledge anything Christian or Jewish, but calls the Bible "corrupt", and also calls for the killing of Christians and Jews. If Islam truly worshipped the same God as the Christians and Jews, then their actions would be against the will of God.

muslims' concept of GOD varies. Some, as the Pope John Paul 2 said, have an aspiration for the TRUE GOD, and then call this "allah". But mohammad worshipped satan posing as a deity. satan doesn't want to be called "the devil", but "god".

The idea of a creator has to do with a role, but is a distinct aspect of GOD from HIS Virtue. The GOD of Jews and Christians differs in virtue from allah and other alleged gods.

muslims don't understand paternity apart from sexuality, so they deny there is a GOD the FATHER.

All people who worship God, worship the God that they perceive in their own mind. It has nothing to do with religons. Although the teachings of a religon may very well determine how one perceives their God. Whether one sees this One God that they perceive as the same everywhere or is The Real God only to themselves is determined by the degree that they are Awakened.

Theoretically yes. Once you get into the specifics of religion (specifically Christianity) you'll find that many people believe basically the same thing. Its just that many people interpret their scripture differently. Thats why you get so many different demonations in religion. Also, Muslims do believe in Jesus, they just believe him to be a prophet, not the son of god as Christians do. All in all, personally I believe its not your religion that matters, its your faith. Two completly different things when it comes down to the point. ~*~Peace~*~

Theoretically, yes.
Life is a journey and all roads lead to the same place. Some of us just take different directions to get there.

Not theoretically but truly even. He is the One True God of All in All, that includes everyone, and yes, that's the ultimate truth.

although many people believe it to be true that Christians, Jews, and Muslims worship the same God, it isn't. Jews and Christians worship the same God, just Jews don't believe Jesus was the messiah. If you look into Allah's character, it is much different from that of the Christian God, very different. One difference- Allah calls for his believers to die for him so they know they will get into heaven, while Jesus died for us so we could go to heaven.
