Im a good horse drawer but I don't really get the shading thing on them. Just wondering if there is a good picture of how the shading looks on a horse.

How my art teacher at Chelsea would get furious if we teased him and said shade it in or colour it in !!! When you 'colour in' or 'shade in' a line drawing it is really going a little further in describing the form . Look at this picture by Stubbs . If you have a printer print it out in black and white and copy it exactly with a soft pencil be delicate as you can ( remember a tiny smudge on your cheek is noticably at quite a distance so a wrong tone ( dark or light ) is noticable too .

You are obviously know about horses but even so be very careful about copying from photos much better do drawings from life of other painters . scan your work and look at it like that to see the faults .It is quite exciting if you realise you have just painted some absolute crap because you know hoew to change it . Also look at your work in a mirror you see lots of faults then ....the more you see the better .!!!!
Good Luck

please don't "Color in"!
Use the color to build the image, rather than adding it later.
However, I assume you are quite young, so ask your parents to sign you up for an art class.
