Turn the overdrive on for best fuel economy. Turn it off when towing, driving in city traffic (stop and go), and also while driving in mountainous terrain.

Off when you're driving on small roads, on for highways... I think. Because you aren't going to be going fast on local streets so you won't need an extra gear. On highways, you want to put your engine on the highest gear because it'll take more energy for a smaller gear to go the same speed as a larger one.

yes overdrive off mean for lower speed and on mean high speed. overdrive off lead show mean high fuel consume.
