Your thoughts on adult & minor sex offenders that target children?

What sort of family plan,social structure or new law would you imeplament?

People need to be protected. Children are people too. It's that simple and yet that complicated. Safeguards should be in place to protect the accused as well. It is too easy for a kid to get upset and bring false accusation. Later, if the kid tells the truth the damage to the adult's life is still done and permanent. Imagine if such false accusation resulted in an innocent person being sterilized and otherwise destroyed...castration or a form of castration.

Zeal should always be balanced. Otherwise you are suspect as well as any guilty individual.

Of course I think it's a sicko way of life. But I do question law enforcement techniques sometimes because they don't follow the legal procedures set down for other crimes.
Today, I got an email from someone who claimed to be a sexy 16 year old girl. I did nothing to solicit such contact and of course I deleted and blocked the email immediately. It probably was a cop anyway... or 20/20 ... maybe Dateline.
I am not tempted by such a thing but there might be some who are who would not have ordinarily sought such an encounter. You can't fault anyone for the feelings they have... only on how they act on those feelings. I think it is wrong to tempt someone who already has a battle fighting off these temptations. It's like putting a a huge line out for cocaine addict.
This is creating crime.... not preventing it. It's called entrapment. It's wrong. I know people are scared of sexual predators and their kids safety... but let's not get carried away and create another witch hunt.

I have to say as someone who worked in child welfare I lack the tie them up and kill them zeal of most the answers.
Thats nice in theory (though frankly I am more concerned about what released murderers are doing) but as you asked in your question alot of these offenders are in fact children themselves.
Most children who have been sexually abused will start to act out sexually and at some point will try to involve other children in it w/ them. I have come into contact w/ "sexual offender" who was all of 4-years-old - should I have shot him?
Also most adult sexual offenders were molested themselves as children. Sexual abuse can be generational in the same way domestic violence is past on.
I dont honestly know what can be done, treatment even when begun in the very young only works "sometimes" and in adults almost never. It would seem the best course would be isolation but how do you do that w/ children? Not only that a group of sexual abused children housed together will surely act out w/ each other. The younger children would be victimized by the older. If you come up w something let us know!

Well the plan is I already have talked to all three of my kids about that and they understand. And I say put all of them on an island and them blowup the island or as my husband would say, tie em down and shove broomsticks up their a$$. I think if anyone did anything to our children like that, as parents since we are the main ones to protect our children should be allowed to shoot em. And cutting off their privates wont do much good cuz then they will use objects instead.

I propose that sex offenders are required to become eunichs as well as have their DNA collected and logged in a national database in addition to the laws that are already set in place.

Sex offenders should not be allowed to be legal guardians of children, be around children, legally live within certain distances of schools, playgrounds, etc.

Oh and they have to wear a sign around their necks or a bracelet of some kind at all times that is noticeable and signals to other people "I like to mess with little kids".

I think they are the scum of the earth. They shouldn't even be on the street where they could possibly hurt another child. If they did it once, they can and most likely will do it again. I don't blame people for not wanting to live anywhere near registered sex offenders. To answer your question: I wouldn't let them out of jail ever. And if they had to be let out, I would recommend castration or at least a vasectomy be done first.
