I have some great recipes that call for dry white wine.I'm a recovering alchoholic and don't want to take the chance with having alcohol in the house. Please give me some great substitutions that I could use , that would not alter the taste.
Thanks in advance for your help.

what kind of recipe?

For savory dishes, just substitute broth, stock or water.

For desserts, use juice.

You can substitute 1 cup of wine with 1 cup of chicken or vegetable stock mixed with a teaspoon of lemon juice or wine vinegar. Don't use grape juice...too sweet.

Grocery stores sell sparkling grape juice, you could buy the white grape juice and it would give you a similar taste. Alcohol in wine when used in cooking evaporates anyway.
