Oh hell no.Nor do you have to worry about peeing on it.Damn for that matter just remove the darn thing all together.She is gone well that is just cause for MAN time.You can make some popcorn and have a beer while taking your time reading the paper on the pot.All bathroom rules are no longer in affect while she is away.Get the tools spring load that bad boy to pop up once your are done taking a dump.DUDE she is gone you are now the bathroom lord and god.

No, but it's better to not get too much out of the habit.

Besides, you might need to sit down and if you have left the lid up you might find out exactly why she wants you to close it.

Not till she gets back, unless there are other females in the house. but you might start forgeting when she comes back if you stop doing it for a few weeks.

better you keep lowering the lid so as not to lose the habit!
