I would absolutely love to, even though I already know that I am capable of conceiving a child naturally. There are so many children out there that need a real family, but it is just so expensive, and there is so much work involved that I doubt I would ever be able to do it. I do think about becoming a foster parent, and I've heard it's easier to adopt that way, but as I'm only 21, going to turn 22 in July, this isn't something I can do just yet.

I'm 66 years old and my wife is 60. I would rather not take on an infant right now because we are getting a bit too old for infants. We do like children, however, and are currently hosting foreign exchange students (high school age.)
I am totally in favor of adoption. We had plenty of kids of our own--five--and that was pretty much of a handful. But I would have totally supported adoption had we been childless or wanted more children than we had.
For loving people adoption is one of the best, most lasting, and most productive ways to share that love.
Adopted children can be encouraged by telling them "we chose you."
I think adoption is wonderful. Twenty years ago we would have been more than willing to adopt a baby.

If I were going to adopt a child I would not adopt a baby I would adopt a child who had been in the system for awhile. I think alot of people overlook the older ones.

I absolutely want to adopt. We are hoping to adopt our second child (our first was a biological miracle). We are homestudy approved and very excited about adopting. I have always felt it was something in our future. I love hearing adoption stories and how babies were not born from their moms tummies, but rather from their hearts. We hope 2007 is our year to adopt!
We have an adoption website-it's http://ouradoptionplan.com

i would definitely adopt a child. probably not a baby though. don't get me wrong, babies are wonderful. but most who adopt are looking for newborns or young babies. i would like to adopt a child who is anywhere from 5 to 12 or 13. these are the kids who have a hard time finding families. i would love to give one of them a home, because they deserve it just as much as infants do.

Yes, we are in the process of adopting for the second time. Our children bring us so much joy, I really feel that the decision to adopt is the best one we ever made.

of coarse. every child deserves a loving safe home and good parents. It's not the childs fault he/she is born into unfortunate circumstances.
Without the kind open minded people who adopt, these poor kids would stay in orphaniges and places like that, where they are often neglected and don't feel the unity that comes with living in a loving family.
I would adopt my next child and he/she would be just as much mine as my biological. Adoption is a good thing.

i would adopt but i would let the child know from a very young age that he/she was...being adopted myself and finding out at age 8 was very hard for me and i remember it very clearly to this day.....i would adopt because this little joy needs a loving home and a safe place were he/she need never worry!

I would adopt a baby. I think that it is great to give children who have nothing a family and home of their own. No child should be left unloved and uncared for, they did nothing to deserve that.
