Just curious. I used to for a few weeks a while back and plan to do it again this summer since I have more time.

Sometimes. Though often unintentionally. I find that a flickering candle is mesmerizing. I always feel refreshed after.

I meditate and yet i would not call myself a theist. I am more concerned with experience than belief. If i had to label myself then i would rather be called gnostic. Although there is a gradient of knowledge so I am somewhere between agnostic and gnosis but technically i might also be called atheist since I don't believe. Although i don't disbelieve either- it just seems pointless to me to go either way. and kind of arrogant too it's not like it would make any difference. I might as well disbelieve or believe in rocks. Meditation is about experience, not belief . Of course a lot of religiously based meditation hinges on belief (like the buddhist ones) but these are relatively modern phenomenon. The original term meditation means the contemplation of oneself. A lot of other things are called meditation now but i would question whether they deserve that name.

I'm an atheist, but i don't meditate much...I only mediate once or twice when I was frustrated and I had felt like that there was no more meaning in life. However, after I meditated, I felt relaxed...felt good....><...I might meditate again someday when I once again have the feeling of no meaning in life or frustration. XD

Meditation is a form of self discovery. Atheists seek self discovery. It is not, at least this is what I think, an activity that is utilized only by non atheists. Probably atheists have less mental clutter interfering with the clarity of their meditative process. Anyway this is just my way of thinking.

I used to quite often. One of the best things that I have ever done. It requires time though and with a stepdaughter and new baby in the house I do not have the time or privacy. I intend to get back to it though

I have tried but I really can't get into it since my mind races on to so many new thoughts and ideas, or I fall asleep. Maybe I'll try it when I reach 90, but I am too busy now.

I used to meditate a while back, but I've fallen out of habit.

Nope. I guess I am an "antsy atheist" because I am too much of a busy body to sit still that long!
