If you look at the statistics of those who are on welfare and receive government benefits over 3/4ths of them are natural born Americans who's families have been here at least 2 generations. Yet people want to blame immigration on the problems with our society.

Ok you morons who obviously cannot answer a question. Noticed I said immigrants I made no reference to illegals. The source I am quoting is all the half-assed "questions the morons below posed saying immigrants are the bane of the US. Second 1/4 of those on welfare are either legal immigrants or first generation americans e.g. their parents were legal immigrants. So that makes them entitled to benefits. Also to ask the moron's questions about inmates who are illegals it is around 30 percent in California. It just shows that none of you know how to answer a question instead you turn it around and try to attack a person who poses an actual question and not the bullshit you call quesitons.

If illegals were not in the US then the natural born and legal immegrants would have jobs! Chew on that a while. You don't seem to understand that there are people throughout this country who don't have jobs because illegals get them because they work cheaper! That's the honest truth and all your 'stats' won't make that fact go away. I know a man who has a business. He pays American citizens 60,000 a year and he pays illegal aliens 6.00 an hour. And, you guessed it: he has a LOT of illegals working for him and only a few American citizens. The unemployment rate in the area where he has his business is over 13% and it's because there are no jobs in the small town where his business is. If all the illegals were sent back to Mexico, those Americans without jobs would suddenly have them! Go figure!

You are missing the boat and I will give you the benefit of the doubt and assume you aren't doing it on purpose.
People are not against immigration in and of itself. The citizens are against illegal immigrants. While it isn't the biggest problem, it is in the top 3.
As far as why? According to Federal statistics, in the last 5 years it has cost the American taxpaying citizens approx. 350 billion dollars in the last 5 years in just the education, health and crime aspects and the cost is increasing exponentially. That doesn't count the Soc. Sec. card fraud that is going on. Add to that social services such as welfare, food stamps and free health care to pregnant women and children and it is closer to 450 billion. And that was just in the last 5 years. That is what the illegal alien cost the American tax payer.
It cause our crime to soar even higher.
An illegal alien does NOT have the right to be here. There is nothing in our Constitution that guarantees a foreign person entry and citizenship in this country.
Just by entering the country they have broken the law. Add to that the using of a Soc. Sec. card belonging to someone else like what happened to me last year and now they are a felon.
Because of the cheap wages that they work for they lower wages in the construction industry. I had to go to school and work an apprenticeship to become a woodworker in the cabinetry and furniture trade. I use to make $22 an hour and now I would be lucky to get 8 or 9 an hour. They don't just take jobs people don't want to do, they cause wages to drop to where people say no to the low wage.
If they stay in their country their country will have to change and step up their way of civilization to a higher class.
I believe what I have written is enough of a reason for the American people to be fed up with the whole situation.
The illegals should ALL be sent back to where they are from and wait in line like everyone else and wait their turn to get a green card legally. NO amnesty what so ever. And the laws against hiring illegals should be strengthened and enforced with no sancuary cities. That alone violates Federal law and for that there should be sever ramifications.

And the big shame is that there are people like the woman below me who call us morons. She has no clue and is living in a fantasy world. with the fatal disease of cranus erectus anus. And she has the audacity to call other people morons. She is a very sad case example of some people in this country. One day her job will be taken away by an illegal and then she will possibly wake up and cry. Or worse an illegal will molest, or kill one of her children, or she herself will be a victim of an illegal alien.

And to the person that posted this question in the first place, for your information, Americans are NOT against immigrants that are here legally. Americans have a problem with illegal immigration. What part of that don't you understand. Think about that before you go calling other people morons. It would seem that you make yourself look to be a moron.

Listen carefully to the answers. Most respondents said immigrants are not the problem- illegal immigrants are. If you are here illegally you have broken the law and are a criminal. The problem is with these millions of criminals. We are spending hundreds of millions of hard earned tax dollars on them. They have not paid a penny into the system but have no problem taking out from it. To them, our streets are truly paved with gold. Our bleeding heart liberals encourage them to such off the system. I am convinced that when their babies are born here, a welfare application (in Spanish of course) comes out with the kid. If you want to be here, do it the legal way.

Because THEY ARE the biggest problem and you are forgetting that once those illegals spit out a baby on our soil,it is a "natural born american" which means entitled to welfare. Lets not forget that many of those illegals commit yet more crime by buying social security cards etc. for about $20 a pop on the streets and there you go,free benefits paid for by hard working American tax payers.

But people who do not belong here are 1/4th of the problem you speak. Why not exclude those who are obviously illegal... Then work on something with a little more of a defense?

Remember legals are trying to defend themselves with the Constitution.... Illegals have no right within' the boundaries of the constitution.

It's such simple logic I personally think.

The lack of logic here is astounding... We are all "illegal immigrants".

Show me the contracts signed by the cherokee, sioux, etc.... No paperwork, no deed... time for us all to move.

Or if we're talking right-of-force here, and we "won it so we own it".... well, then we're not talking morality at all. In that case, the only reason hitler was wrong, was because he lost?

It's really hilarious, that a bunch of people who have a decent living due ONLY to their ancestors total disregard for other peoples' property, can somehow now feel some sort of moral entitlement to that very same property....

Jobs go to the-most-skilled-at-the-lowest-cost... not to the "most-American".

It will be terribly ironic, in the near future, to hear red-blooded-Americans asking for reforms that will sound very "communist" indeed.

The other side of the capitalist coin is not quite as shiny.

The real problem with Americans is that they rule the world and everybody is PISSED about it. And honestly, this sh*t about Mexico being poor as hell and blah blah blah. Look it up!! There ARE jobs in Mexico. Mexico is one of the WEALTHIEST countries in the world, from textiles to (believe it or not) OIL! Hell, the second richest (soon to be first) man in the world is Mexican. The problem with that damn country is the GARGANTUAN gap between the rich and the poor. There is no middle class. Those damned souls need to work together and fix THEIR problem instead of making it OURS!!

Look at the stats...!!!
http://www.immigrationcounters.com/

By the way... the difference is that Americans are entitled to benefits when needed, but illegals "think" they should have the same entitlement... This will go on just until the government enforces our laws! It will happen soon... you'll see!!!

Immigrants aren't a problem here in the USA, at all. Instead, it is the illegal invaders who are mostly Mexicans, who sneak across the USA border, tax our social services and educational institutions, steal jobs from USA citizens and depress our wages in the remaining jobs, they offer asinine excuses about why they ought to be permitted to remain here, and we also don't appreciate their arrogance and aggression. We can also do without their filthy hygiene habits. They fail to wash daily, so they stink to high heaven. They refuse to learn English and otherwise assimilate, and they do all that they can to hijack USA language and culture. Let them all be deported. And the USA government ought to start planting landmines. BLAM! Problem solved!
