I would go back to the artist that did it. I have two tats and one of them is an armband and it didn't do that. Doesn't sound like he did very good work. Make sure you trust someone before you let them do a tat on you and you have seen their work. Good luck and if it's jacked up make him fix it.

How recent? If it was just today, then it's perfectly fine, you just need to wash it and the excess ink will come off.

If it was anytime before that, then that doesn't sound like anything that's happened to any of mine, and I'm going tomorrow for tattoo #8.

Did you get it done at a reputable shop? If so, then I would go back and see the artist, let him take a look at it. If it's something that he messed up, he may be able to do something about it. I know at the shop I go to, they always say to come back in a month and let them look at it, make sure it healed okay.

If you let one of your buddies do it, or got one at some crappy 'hole-in-the-wall' place, then maybe you had a really bad artist who didn't know what he was doing, and you might have to learn to live with it. Or pay for a cover-up at a really good shop.

yes that is very normal and what needs to happen is...well see a tattoo is never just finnished in one setting most black tattoos need to get touch-ups after they heal. and the touch up is just because sometimes the body does this to a tattoo so dont flip out just call the shop and tell them you need to touch up a tattoo and they will understand. i am a tattooist myself and have seen this many times.

i've got 4 tattoos, and none of mine did that. you need to go back and speak with your artist and show him/her what is happening, and get their input. i really hope it isn't screwed up. but go ask you artist please.
