It means Bush has said he will stay in Iraq even if no one but his wife and his dog agree with him. It also means we will be dying over there until we get a new president. Bush wants the cleanup of his mess to be done by someone with brains, realizing he has none.

Or maybe it means Cheney and Rumsfeld and Halliburton will win. But they already have.

We have a democratic country in an explosive part of the world, that will help us protect ourselves. It will likely never be totally without fighting. Seems that is the nature of life in that part of the world. But they will have an army and police to control and protect their country.

We have a lot to 'win' in Iraq and we are making headway. It has nothing to do with oil.

Tell that to the people who live there. Your ignorance is staggering. We will have won when the few remaining kooks left over there won't have the guts or ability to come here and blow our people up. Get ready...it's going to take a long time.

As I see it, victory means the reduction of terrorist activity to a degree that the native Iraqi government, by police and miltary means, has the ability to control it and imprison its leaders and perpetrators [or execute them ; } ] and maintain a stable and reasonably peaceful regime.

Also implied is the adequate training and equipping of Iraqi security to achieve this.

It means we will keep oil over $65 a barrel, remember it was only $22 when we invaded.
It means we will get no bid contracts for bullcrap construction projects that the government will have to borrow money to pay for.

PROBLEM IS, WHO IS WE

"We will have won when the few remaining kooks left over there won't have the guts or ability to come here and blow our people up."

The kooks that came here and blew things up were our allies from Saudi Arabia, not Iraq

You'll have to ask them by what they meant because it's been 4 years and I still can't figure out why we went there in the first place.
