Unfortunately the silver fillings need to be replaced--it sounds like you got your money's worth out of them---Now it is time to replace them.

In the short mean-time, keep your smile as clean as possible. Brush and floss regularly and rinse with an antibacterial rinse. Avoid chewing on ice or hard foods like cracking nut shells, hard candy, etc.

Avoid acidic drinks like juices and sodas as the acid and sugars will only cause more problems to the leaking silver fillings and begin to add to this problem by dissolving natural tooth structure inside and underneath the leaking filling. It will also cause you additional sensitivity.

I hope that you are able to see your dentist very soon-- so that your situation is taken care of and your teeth are saved from further damage from breakage and additional decay.

Most Sincerely, Tina

children are going to wiggle free enamel on their own because they're children. they're going to fall out finally. My son is purely a million a million/2 and not in any respect truly loosing enamel yet :) at the same time as he does my husband and that i have determined he receives a silver dollar in accordance to enamel and slightly trinket (sugarless gum, a sparkling toothbrush or flavored floss for little ones- something like that) at the same time as i develop right into a baby the enamel fairy paid .50 cents a enamel. There are kinfolk with children dropping enamel that I actually have. enamel fairy of their homestead leaves $5 a enamel, yet to me that is slightly extreme . i'd not attempt to "keep up with the Jonses" both in words of what his acquaintances get.

Have the fillings replaced.

As for the sensitivity, use Sensodyne-F toothpaste.
