We have all the other music, but are having trouble coming up with a good bit of music for the recessional. There's a few things: We're having a live pianist and violinst, so it has to be played by those instruments (ie- no trumpets); and it's in a church, where it has to be either gospel or classical. Any thoughts?

-Ode to Joy
-Jesu, Joy of Man's Desiring

It would help if you could list what songs you're using already! You could also have a gospel choir sing you out with "Oh Happy Day" if your budget allows.

I am in the same boat. It's really hard to find a good song that is not secular. Having a traditional religious ceremony does limit you, unfortunately.

those are all great concepts! particularly LOVE the Canon remixes, yet once you're already utilising the classic Canon, it relatively is beneficial to p.c.. an totally diverse music. My fiance and that i would be utilising "All you pick is Love" by skill of the Beatles, by fact i admire the Beatles and the music has an amazing message, and likewise by fact we the two love that area in Love relatively the place the band performed it on the marriage.

My fiance and I are using Oh Happy Day. We want to have the whole church clapping and singing at the end of the ceremony.

I was so ready to be married...my recessional was the "Hallelujah Chorus"!! It gave everyone who understood a good laugh, and those who didn't understand still enjoyed it.

Congratulations and good luck!

How about "Joyful, Joyful We Adore Thee"
or the theme from "Rocky"
