where is the best place to buy equptment?

The best place is to get hooked up with your mentor's suppliers when you take your apprenticeship. They know what they like and where to get it, probably at a good price, etc.
You have to prove you work in a professional environment to get gear from most of the reputable places.

unless you are already an artist, there is no best place to buy equipment.
and since you're asking this question you obviously aren't. if you want to be a tattoo artist, then go to a shop and apply for an apprenticeship and learn it the proper way.

you can get equipment easy on the internet, some is crap, some is great.
you could buy all of filip leu or paul booths tattoo equipment but you're never gonna do a good tattoo with it.
you need an apprenticeship with a good artist.
but you will go ahead & scar your friends anyway, so good luck & welcome to the tattoo nightmare, the backlash from suited & tied politicians starts soon......
