Saying ANYTHING about God to me is meaningless. I won't meet God - there IS no God. I won't go to a Judgment Day after death. I won't be cast to Hell (or Heaven). None of it will happen to me so don't worry your pretty little heads over it. No matter how hard you believe in all this fantasy thinking it can't and won't affect me physically in the least ever.

God is irrelevant to me as the truth. The belief in God is not irrelevant.

This isn't about me personally - it applies to all atheists.

I didn't walk away from an imaginary being. O.o?

"this is the kind of crap 19 year old kids do today? turn off the computer for a while& play outside."

A lot of my time I'm outside caving, canoeing, skiing, sea kayaking, etc. I do more active things than the average person.

"look for werewolves or something!"

They don't exist... O.o?

"You've just recently cracked the shell of the egg of your anti-God high school education!"

I never had an anti-God education. I wasn't taught it,

"scurry to atheist college before you have to contribute to society"

I already AM in college. But it's not an atheist college - no such thing. In fact tomorrow is my last day before summer.

Loser.

Really, how can you know the unknowable? Open your mind a bit. Look around, take a breath. It is all rather amazing if you think about it. Where did it all come from? Was it created by someone or was it always here? Both answers seem equally fantastic.

You have a mind, you can conceive of things. You think, you are aware that you exist. Why?

Fantasy thinking? What else is there when science or logic cannot answer? If all there is is the day to day, the here and now, what a waste. We have such passions, such desires, such longings to know the answers to important questions. Why are we here? What is our purpose? Were are we going?

Yet you claim that none of this matters to you. So certain are you that there is nothing else. If there is nothing else, then why bother? Why do you continue? Why be nice to others? Why try to be successful? Or do you think the minimum effort is sufficient?

I think if I really believed deep down inside that there was only this short life and then oblivion, I would consume my time with pillage, rape and plunder. Hedonism, baby! Who cares? What can they do to me, kill me? I am going to die anyway.

That's oK you're not irrelevant to God. God will be there when you need him and there will be a time when you will yell out for God. However, if you keep denying him, when you do stand before the great throne for judgment, remember you walked away from God , He did not walk away from you.

Do you know how irrelevant YOU are to me? do you think i spend all my time thinking about you? I will never meet you in person. You are just another noob. Perhaps I should be so lucky to see you in heaven... No matter what anyone does or doesnt do at anytime will slightly change the course of the universe(chaos theory)

That's OK- you and your beliefs are irrelevant to me as well.

Just out of curiosity, do you think that any believer is going to suddenly say something like "Oh my God, This person does not believe in god, so I shan't either!"?

It hurts me that you don't think I exist, and that i am meaningless. I love you and want to give you eternal life in a heavenly place. I hope you change your mind because I love you very much. I am being presumtuous and talking for God.

If God truly is irrelevant to you, why do you need to draw attention to it by posting this on Yahoo Answers?

BTW, since you have chosen to draw attention to your lack of faith in God, let me say I have absolutely no problems at all with your beliefs. That just means more room in Heaven for the rest of us! WOO-HOO!!!

"The lady doth protest too much me thinks!" Shakespeare

Obviously God is on your mind for you to write this. You sound a little defensive!

Open your heart and your mind to Him and don't be afraid to ask Him to reveal Himself to you.

I'll say a prayer for you.

God bless you!

It isn't a Christians job to make sure you feel good or bad about your decisions. We offer you something and if you reject it then our job is done, if you accept it then our job is done. There is not a control drama, or at least there is not supposed to be one.
