It can be a symptom of a variety of things, from Alzheimer's to ADHD. We'd need more information to have any insight into this for you.

Structuring your day very rigidly and making written schedules, calendars, or planners for yourself is one thing that can help a lot.

Spending at least 30 minutes a day organizing your stuff neatly until it becomes second-nature helps a lot.

Fixing this on your own takes a concerted personal effort and a lot of initiative.

I think it can be traced to the root cause which is spiritual problem. We are human being composed of seven energy centers called chakras. I used to read about this if you tend to be forgetful or change subject easily or floaty. It is because of your root chakra is not strengthened. To strengthen your root chakra, it is recommended to stay in present as much as possible. Some meditation techniques can help. Stay focus on your breath it will expand your aware of present through the day. Or use visualization techniques to imagine that there are root extended from your spine penetrating into the deep ground. Hope this help.

It can be a physical problem from anemia or hyputhyroidism , lack of sleep, low bloodsugar, stress..
I could go on and on but if all the sudden this came on go get checked out. My sis thought she was crazy until they found her tiredness and forgetting was due to anemia.
Make lists get plenty of sleep and take the time to take care of yourself

It could be you are toxic with some type of chemical. Before you go and get treated for adhd, I would suggest you have your toxic levels checked. That can be done with a hair analysis or a urine sample.
