yes color does matter
The scalp contains about 120,000 hairs, or 1000 hairs to the square inch. Keep in mind the average human scalp measures approximately 120 square inches
Blondes have the most hairs – averaging 146,000. Redheads have the least – about 86,000. Black--110,000, Brunette 100,000

Gender also matters--women have more hair per inch than men
the density of hairs may seem deceptive because of diameter of each hair.
The thickness of each hair is also dependent on color ;blondes, thinnest in diameter--
