so what we got here on yahoo answers and (elsewhere too) are huge masses of people coming up with liberal theological opinions, not to mention the ones who aren't really sure if God exists as if they have any say in the matter.
I was wondering why you people can't be smart little children and actually think of reading inspired books, as opposed to non-inspired. By that I mean that God wrote it, not man.
I think it's time to expand your horizons to that which is supernatural. Consider the fact that the world does not willingly support you, nor does the air you breathe willingly fill your lungs. The world groans because of you, the sinner. You are nothing to man, and you are certainly nothing to God.
consider also the fact that you are dead meat if you're not saved in Christ

well first because there is no proof of god, not even a little. but as far as being "anti-god", probably because of radical crazies like you who pretend to be able to save people. and i know you will say "no only jesus can do that!"...but lets take a moment to think about this. you are "saving" people for christ, for an idea. you have no proof that he is the son of god. neither do you have any proof of a hell. so when it comes down to it, your just playing savior to people that fear your made up hell and condemning those who dont believe in it. must be a great power trip, bet you have fun....so bluntly..YOU, and those like you are the main reason for those anti-god people....so in my opinion you are a bad salesman who sells fake insurance to stupid people and thrives on others fear of death.

And what's wrong with liberal theological opinions? As opposed to conservative accusative opinions?
I have a good feeling that many agnostic or atheist people were brought up in the church, read the Bible, and used their heads to make the choice. I did. I read the bible, growing up, and into college. All my friends are Christian. That's fine for them. I made the choice.
I cannot figure out why you can look at the bible and call it inspired. It's full of contradictions and it causes hatred, separation, and pain. Inspired, maybe, but so are serial killers. And I hardly find my own and everyone else's sin inspiring.
Besides, why is your little history book any more inspired than the Koran or the texts written by the ancient Hindis? If you had been born in a different part of the world, you would be railing against Christians.

quite the contrary as well.while most of the 6 billion or whatever people of the world do not know me and have no reason to care, as such. but I am of vital importance to a few, and thats all thats needed.

what was that phrase, something about killing one is as to kill the world, and to save one is as to save the world... hating any other is to hate God.... each and every bit of all that is, is important to God.
why would God be so powerful as to be able to create all that is... yet unable to say "apology accepted"?
or is there some greater force that makes god balance the books?

Maybe you should consider that after 2000 years only one-third of the world's people are Christians. Maybe you should also consider that there were people and civilizations before Christ.
It's time to expand your horizons to the other two-thirds of the world. Consider reading something besides the Christian viewpoint. Then maybe you will begin to have some tiny inkling of why everyone doesn't believe exactly as you do. And that has nothing to do with being anti-God.

I think its general bullheadedness...from both sides
AN athiest won't try to "rationally" convince or open up dialogue and try to explain why there is no god. They are like, oh that guy thinks there is a god, must be crazy, not going to talk to them, just make fun of them and insult them.
Same thing with the religious people. They jump straight to the, that guy is evil, he doesn't' believe in god...lets insult him and tell him he's going to hell...and start quoting our religious scripture.
Goes the other way too, an athiest hears the word god and stops listening to what the person is actually saying....religious person, hears "no-god" and same thing.
Hehe...atleats athiests are unified in general disbelief in god, religious people are against the people that don't believe in god, believe in the same god, but little different (catholic vs Christian....shia vs sunni......hell even some Buddhism has a god, while fundamentally it doesn't).... and a different god.
There are some people out there though that do think before they open their mouth. (considering 50% of the population is women...its probably very low....JOKE!!!!)
I think for someone to completely agree with what they believe in, they don't have to disagree with someone else, but UNDERSTAND why they disagree.

So, in order to be a "smart little child", we must only read a small selection of books?
Isn't it interesting that the devil (ie, the serpent) is declared the most evil creature in existence simply because he encouraged man (and woman) to seek knowledge and not simply to follow blindly?

Wait, the position did you get the concept that each and each and every man or woman gay persons are open minded? The gay community is distinctly very resembling the different community.
