Yeah. It is most likely nothing, but just to keep your mind at ease and to stop yourself from worrying, I recommend just getting a checkup with your GP. It'll only take five minutes for him or her to look at it, and that sure beats hours of worry. It usually isn't normal for a mole to just pop up, however it may not be cancerous, it may just be an effect from the sun. Hope everything turns out just fine.

new moles are always a concern
if they are light in color.. not to worry
but if they are irregular.. it is time to see a derm dr
if they are any black ones.. ones that bleed.. go to your dr right away and have them check it out
you get them as a bad gift from too much sun in those areas that you get the moles
I had a mole on top of my head.. it was like a sore.. it just appeared one day.. so i went to my dr.. they said it was nothing
so i talked to a friend who was in the nurse.. she said if you have any concerns that the dr.s won't listen to.. tell them it has changed.. that way.. if you have an HMO they will send you to the derm dr. right away
it ended up that my mole was a basel cell cancer.. minor if you take care of it right away the way i did
but i had to have surgery to have it removed
if you dont take care of it.. even a basel cell can kill you
it's always better to get everything checked so you can sleep at night
good luck

Do you tan? If you do, sometimes brown spots do appear. Or it might be cancer...if your really concerned about it, go see a dermatologist.

See your dermatologist. You don't want to mess around with this kind of stuff.

That happens. As long as they are not itchy, an odd color, or spreading, it's normal.
