I've used to be with Progressive Insurance on my Dad's policy. That was years ago, I was driving a 99 Saturn SC 2-Door which for the beginning my 6-month premium was around $684. It's considered a Sports car, so it going to be considerably high, and her age doesn't really help alot.
Be careful, make sure that she knows the way of a driver, if ( hopefully not ) she wrecks, watch the premium for you and her sky rocket. Also if she has good grades, she may be available to get a Good Student Discount. Which could save you some $$$.
Just do a quote from www.progressive.com. I use ESurance for all my needs :D.

I'm sure the Progressive insurance tv commercial will tell you what "1-800" number to call or what website to visit for a free estimate, but I can tell you that, if they're anything like all the other insurance companies I've done business with, your rate hike will be very noticeable. I've been insuring my 22 year old son with his VW Jetta, and it was $21 or $22 HUNDRED per 6 months, until he turned 21. Oh, but then, you're talking about a used car. But then, you're talking about a 16 year old. But then, I've been insuring my now 21 year old daughter with her new Accord, but the insurance company listed her as the driver of my 2002 VW Jetta, and her rate is a lot lower. Well, maybe I don't know as much as I'd need to to give you a good answer here. Sorry. God Bless you.

You should have been given the website address in your policy packet. Click on manage your policy. In your policy packet you should have received a temporary User ID & password, enter these numbers & you will be able to do the quote for yourself online. It is a pretty easy website to use. I am not sure if you used Progressive Direct or Progressive Drive (with an agent) so I don't know what website address to give to you.
