Meaty flavor baby food is used in veterinary hospitals to entice dogs and cats to eat. We use it to mix with dog food to try to encourage them to eat. It is bland, so it is easy on their stomachs when they are nauseous. However, it is not good as the only diet. It does not have nutrients they need,
so it should not be used long term. Giving it to them even as a once-in-awhile treat is can cause pickiness, so it is not a great idea to offer it, or any people food for that matter.

Feed holistic from a safe source. I know it is hard to trust any food right now but you should check out this company-see source-
making dog food is fine only if you take it to a pet nutritionist and make sure it is balanced so that your dog gets all that they need- cooking your own can leave out alot of nutrients if it is not balanced. I do not have the money nor the knowledge to begin to understand how to balance pet food.
I found this company -food is all formulated by a holistic vet-before all the contamination and am so glad I did as now I have no worries.
I have four dogs and one cat and they all eat this food and are very healthy and happy. You can not buy it in stores as it is only available online.
Good luck in your decision-it is a terrible time for pets.

No, it's not. Human food is really high in calories, baby food is even higher than average because their stomachs are so small. As a treat now and again, a little human food isn't terrible but extra weight on a dog can kill it. There are recipes for homemade dog food, if you're nervous about giving him processed food. Do a google search for "home made dog food recipes".

It's really not the best thing for a kitten. Cats and dogs have different nutritional needs. Grazing isn't really the best thing for dogs anyways because they are more likely to overeat. Just put the dogs food down when he needs to eat. That way he'll eat it all up right away before the cat can get at it. Put the kitten's food down in a different place than the dog's food so she won't be near the dog's food when eating.

Baby food has just as many preservatives and junk.

I ordered e-books from the site below and love them!!!! I went for the gold package, if it seems expensive, just keep checking, they have sales all the time. It was the best thing i ever bought for my dogs!!!!

Dog food is geared just for that...dogs. I had a friend that ended up giving his dog nothing but human food (hamburgers, leftovers, etc) that eventually his teeth ended up rotting out. He told me the vet he was taking his dog to told him that dogs don't have the same enzymes in their saliva that we do to break down food. I'd talk it over with a vet first, but like I said, dog food is specially formulated for dogs.

I would not use baby food. It may have things, such as certain oils, that are not good for dogs. I would cook homemade dog food for your dog. It does not take very long, and you can use leftovers from your own cooking. Check out http://www.homemadehealthypetfood.com for dog food recipes.

yes i suppose.. but it would be better if you found a good food that you felt safe with.. that would be better because baby food is meant to help a baby grow and dog food is for dogs to frow (duh) so i would look at the ingredients of the dog food and make sure that the first about 5 or so ingredints are not rice or by products.. or other filler products.. this will ensure that the food is of good quality.. i would really reccomend purina pro plan.. or purina one.. i have used purina one for awile and its nice,,,

hope that i helped yOU!!!
