She has emotional feelings for him, but she cannot allow herself to trust him for some reason. Maybe that reason is him, because he has done things to hurt her or from within herself because of her own issues.
When people have been through bad past experiences, it can be very hard to trust another person and let them into their lives. They can want to do that but have difficulty doing it because they are afraid they will be hurt again.
I think it is more precisely ~ She wants to be able to love him fully, but she cannot allow herself yet at that point in time for some reason as explained above.
I also agree that love does need that trust and respect for it to be the real thing.

I have the same problem too. I loved my hubby but I could not trust him in anything. Trust is the most important in any relationship. Especially if you plan to live together. Mine didn't work out. Only for trust issues you can create a lots fights.

Find someone you can trust. A relationship without trust is not worth continuing. I believe that the love you think you are feeling is just attraction of some kind. Step back and rethink this relationship.

That's not love than. The whole purpose of love is trust, without trust its just infatuation. Of course in no way does that mean if that trust builds it can't become love, but at the moment its just a crush.

it's hard to have love but not trust because if you don't have trust your relationship won't last very long .

Doesn't matter how much you love someone if you don't trust them. Without trust, you will never be happy.
If you can't trust them, it is time to walk away.
