Well, as it appears, god in the bible didn't teach his believers to respect other people's faiths and god.
In islam, There is only one and only true god(ALLAH).
In Christianity, there belief is that god is one in three and three in one. 1 in 3 and 3 in 1.

Besides what people say to be politically correct, the two are not the same at all. For me, the God of the BIble is the true and living God because He can prove His existence and His Word.

The overwhelming difference is that Allah has no son. The Bible says that He does have a Son and that He came down as the sacrificed Lamb for the sin of the world.

At the risk of everyone disagreeing with me, I will say anyway that they are one & the same.
In a little book of Prayers for Children, I found a little prayer of the Islamic faith.
There is no god but God...
There is no god but God...
I think that is so true. There is no god but God...for all religions. Man does a good job of trying to make God in an image to suit them...then denies they are doing that.
Blessings to you from a Christian...who respects the religions of others. Nala
PS...God is Spirit...

Both present themselves as God. The Christian looks to the Bible, whose God repeatedly talks about love and the proof that He offers that He really is God. The Moslem look to the Quran, whose God repeatedly demands blind, unswavering obedience without any reason but his declaration that he is God, so there.
One huge difference that stuck out at me is the oaths each takes. Hebrews 6:13 notes that, "For when God made promise to Abraham, because he could swear by no greater, he sware by himself." But in the Quran, Allah is constantly taking oaths by various created things, as if they are strong enough to enforce the oath on him. The oath is taken by something greater than the self, not lesser, so those statements by Allah are suspect or he's a very weak god.

For one, the Christian God came down as a physical form. While the Islamic God is above it.
Christian God requires his suicide to forgive humans of sin.
Islamic God can forgive by just asking.
That is just beginning.

Wow! Sometimes I can't believe how many Christians on this forum are true bigots, just by reading some of the answers to these fundamental questions.
I think Christians love to add their own opinion of things and not refer to what their religion tells them.
On the contrary, Muslims provide answers that are compatible with what their religious sources say.
May Allah guide us all (including those Christian bigots) to the right path, Ameen!

Arab christains also call the God Allah. yet there are adjustments between attributes of Allah, which Muslims and Christians believe. Muslims believe he's one yet Christians believe he's one yet that one constitutes of three, it really is God (Allah), Holy spirit and Jesus. All Christians do not believe the same, it really is in Trinity, Jehova Witness believe Jesus to be a advent of God, which God created beforehand all advent. yet Muslims believe Jesus to be only a prophet that got here beforehand Prophet Mohammed

In Islam, they believe strictly that God is the absolute ruler. There is no "3 in 1" as in Catholicism. The word "Allah", while translated as "God", in their language cannot refer to more than one god. God is also stricter and more powerful than considered in Christianity.
The Christian God is more loosely a single entity, and seems to rely more on personal freedom. In Islam, there is one chosen path that was chosen by him for you.

Here's a biggie:
Jesus said:
"You have heard that it was said, 'Love your neighbor and hate your enemy.'But I tell you: Love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, that you may be sons of your Father in heaven. He causes his sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. If you love those who love you, what reward will you get? Are not even the tax collectors doing that? And if you greet only your brothers, what are you doing more than others? Do not even pagans do that? Be perfect, therefore, as your heavenly Father is perfect."
You will find nothing of this concept - loving your enemies in Islam.

Allah in Islam is more like Jehovah in Old Testament or YHWH in Tanakh.
Muslims don't believe in trinity, and we believe whoever says trinity, he does blasphemy to God. And also we reckon that whoever says that Jesus the son of Mary is God, he speaks blasphemy as well.
