My dog is 3.5 years old and tonight he has a full blown seizure! He lost all bladder and bowel control, he drooled and his eyes bulged out of his head plus went into convulsions!
I can understand seizures because I have them, but it was because of a head injury.
My dog had NEVER had a seizure before and I can't think of what it can be from!
-ice cream w/chocolate in it?
-new dog food ( ol roy )
-new dog treat(canine carry outs)

CAN ANYBODY HELP ME!!!!

I would take the dog to the vet ASAP, like before you got on YA. Very possible the dog could have a tumor on his brain!!!!!

Get to the vet right away--Ol Roy is one of the recalled foods with the chemical melamine in it! He may have epilepsy, which doesn't show up in some dogs until after 2 years, or it could be the food.

Get off of the computer and go now!

Get your dog to a vet. Might be epilepsy or something else. Most likely this is treatable. Not probable that it was precipitated by any food but you feed Ol Roy! This food is down there in the bottom ten foods of the worst foods you can feed your dog. Won't outright kill your dog but will not give it any advantages in the long run.

Don't think about it and take him to the Veterinarian! AND stop feeding him chocolate, that causes liver failure in dogs! Ol Roy may lead him to kidney failure if it has the recalled substance but canine carry outs won't.

HI, I FEEL YOUR PAIN WE JUST LOST OUR 1 YEAR OLD ROTWEILER TO SEIZURES. YOUR DOG DEFINITLY HAD A GRANDMALL SEIZURE WICH IS THE WORST. I WOULD SEE THE VET AND GET HIM ON SOME PHENABARB OR MABY SOMETHING STRONGER. OUR DOG WAS ON PHENOBARB AND OBVIOUSLY IT WAS NOT STRONG ENOUGH BECAUSE HE WENT INTO A PERMANITE SEIZURE ONE MORNING AND DIED IN OUR KITCHEN. THIS IS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD WATCHED OVER SEEING THEY CANT TELL US WHAT IS GOING ON. I AM SO SORRY I KNOW THIS PAINFULL. THE VET IS GOING TO TELL YOU THERE ARE A # OF THINGS THAT COULD HAVE CAUSED THIS. THEY PUT OUR PUP THREW ALL KINDS OF TESTS BUT NEVER FOUND THE REASON. SO UNLESS YOU HAVE LOTS OF $ TO PUT OUT I WOULD JUST GET HIM MEDS AND KEEP A GOOD EYE ON HIM. HOPE I HELPED

Please take you pet to the vet so they can make sure he's ok and there wasnt any damage cause to his brain or nervous system. And so they can tell you why this happened. I treat mine like my kids and a memeber of my family because they are and i dont ever play when it coems to their health. Somethin this serious you should have been at the vet asap. Please let us know how it goes.
