weight gain occurs when there is an excess of calories over an extended period of time. the occasional heavy meal shouldn't cause weight gain

If you over eat on simple sugars and lots of fats you can still gain weight as the calories you took in from junk eating may be much morethen you burned exercising. So it depends on what you ate.

its not good to over eat to where you are extremely full. as you get full and over eat you stretch out the stomach so you have to eat alot the next time its better to have 5 portioned meals so the stomach shrinks and your metabolism will help lose the weight and fat. eating alot then working out will have no real effect except the possibility of feeling sick
