If you are planning to breed your dog, you should wait until she's at least 2 years old. Then, she must be cleared of any health problems before you breed her. The same goes for the male. This is to minimize the risk of unhealthy puppies. And, in case you don't know, your dog is probably going to have more than one baby.

Neuter the dog. Why do you want to contribute to the dog over population? Leave the breeding to experts. Equating a dog's years to human years is extremely variable. Great danes average life span is 9 years. A small dog can be double that or about 18 years. So as you can see you need to provide a breed so that someone can inform you of the average lifespan for that breed.

It's best if you wait until they're at least 2 years old. Although our Poodle gave birth to her first litter at 1 year and 3 months before she belonged to us. She's already given birth one more time and now she's pregnant again yikes! She's getting spayed after this one. Multiply by 7 and yes she is 7 years old.

Rule of thumb is to wait until the female is 2 years old before you try and bred her. Whatever bred she is, make sure you have all the tests for that bred before you even think about breeding; hernia's, dyspepsia, check eyes, check heart & knees, etc.

You multiply by 7. One year old is usually old enough. depending on the dog.

Females should be 2 yrs old before they are bred, and they shouldn't be bred ''just because''. Please consider spaying your dog.

You can.
But with how many dogs are at animal shelters, do you really need more?
I think not.
