It started out as a boring new century. We now have people being killed. Governments falling, Presidents being assertive, Congress being liars, a good economy. At least my part of it is. Lots of new inventions are coming out of the war. It should fill at least 1/2 of a page in future history books. It is a minor skirmish, in the grand scheme. Remember, the Black Death killed 2/3 of the world. It receives one paragraph in a history book. How important is this little deal? Not very.

Nope I cant be for the war because this isnt a war...well we shouldnt be in it anyway. This war has been going on since the begining of time between the two religious groups in the middle east. We can not win nor lose, and we have lost more than we can efford however bush keeps pushing it making the rest of the countries ticked at America. THis is a repeat of a little thing called Vietnam war. Besides why dont we look towards Korea they have parades where they carry nuclear weapons. We got into this Civil War based upon lies and deception. I mean **** George Bush was a giant stoner and can barely speak and read....and right now he is treating the soldiers as if they were disposable and as if they were his little puppets.

To believe the middle east and the US are not in great danger, if the US pulls out, is naive ! The country's of Iran and Syria have expantionist intentions, and the moderate Arab states have great concern over what they will do, if the US leaves.

The moderate Arabs are not sitting around and waiting for the liberal Congress to finally get it's way. They are already talking with others, including Israel, to see what plans they can make to discourage Iran and Syria.

They know that the US is no longer a reliable ally, with the democrats trying to run things, so they are doing their own planning for survival. This is a sad scenario when you think about it. To think that foolish little people like Pelosi, Reid, and Murtha can have so much sway over a country such as the US, is inconcievable. The Islamic jihad will continue to degrade the will of the American people, at least the lemmings in America.

To think that Muslims will stop their attack on the US, you better think a little longer. They will not stop until we destroy them. It might take twenty years to do so, but it must be done.

They, not we, have thrown down the gauntlet ! The WTC attack was the gauntlet, and it won't stop at 9/11, if we turn our backs now.

1. We must fight the ter'ists there, not here. Just like in Vietnam, when all the Viet Cong came here afterward.

2. We must protect the moderate Arab states- like Lebanon, blown to kingdom come by our good friends the Israelis, like Pakistan, the nuclear proliferating protector of Osama bin Laden, and Saudi Arabia, the fundamentalist birthplace of most of the 9/11 hijackers.

3. Because we must stop Muslims by killing them. Each and every one of them.

... waiting to join skeptic as the PC conservapolice drive away all dissent. The numbers might have been wrong, but his points about the beneficiaries are exactly right. The pro-war lobby could easily derail such arguments b y simply NJOT PROFITEERING fromt he war, but this is beyond them.

To the last ditch they will stand by the grossly incompetent Cheney, Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz, no matter what they will allow nasty companies like Custer Battles, Halliburton and so on to make money while turning moderate Arab opinion against the country. They do all they can to protect the nuclear proliferators in Pakistan, because they make money from them. They refuse to accept what is clear: that they have been deceived by evil men, for their own advantage.

Hard to swallow pride for those who have too much of it.

(1) Please spell the Question out. I'm not psychic. If you can't use Spellcheck to fix "covsing" then I can't help you.

(2) While I loathe doing the homework for others, if you look through the Resolved Questions here, you will find heaps and heaps of pro-war advocates. You may want to read some of those tracts.

Add details if you want help.

EDIT: "Skeptic" below states 600,000 have become fatalities. Iraq Body Count http://www.iraqbodycount.org/ is clocking 62770 to 68796 civilian fatalities at the moment. I need not mention the relative paucity of fatalities for the Coalition or Iraqi Security Forces in comparison.

This is what happens when you ask a Question on Yahoo! Answers: You get some idiot with no facts, no attribution, but lots of conjecture and plenty of hot air trying to make fake and misleading points. I suggest, Questioner, that you just Google various pro-war arguments and sift through them.

What war? The United States attacked Iraq and now occupy the country. The "war on terror" is a "war of terror" conducted by the United States against civilian populations in the Middle East.

This intervention has cost over 600,000 human lives and 1.2 million casualties. I'm sorry, but your position supporting this illegal action is untenable.
