i know you need one for a home day care but what if i only want to take care of two or three kids would i still need to be licensed here in california

im not trying to start a daycare just want to know if its against the law to receive income for providing care for like two or three kids

Not if they are from the same family. If you take care of more than one family at a time, you need a license.

If your only taking care of two kids, you will not need a license.
